Take NEBICARD SM TABLET as advised by your physician. Avoid drinking grapefruit juice while taking NEBICARD SM TABLET, as it could further decrease your blood pressure.

Before taking NEBICARD SM TABLET inform your doctor if you have any liver, kidney or heart problems (such as angina), asthma, diabetes, thyroid problems, poor blood circulation or psoriasis as a precaution.

NEBICARD SM TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with severe heart problems (such as heart failure or heart block). Consult your doctor before taking this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

• have Raynaud’s disease (poor blood circulation to fingers and toes)
• have leg pain, tension or weakness (intermittent claudication)
• have diabetes
• have overactivity of thyroid gland
• have psoriasis (white scaly patches on the skin)
• are going to undergo an operation
• severe uncontrollable increase in blood pressure (hypertensive crisis)

• have severe low blood pressure
• have poor blood circulation in the arms and legs
• have metabolic acidosis (too much acidity in blood)

Drug - Drug interaction

• Heart rhythm medicines: Combining with antiarrhythmics (quinidine, cibenzoline) can increase risks of abnormal heart rhythm.
• Local anesthetics: Lidocaine and similar drugs can enhance nebivolol concentration; monitor closely.
• Other blood pressure medicines: Using clonidine, verapamil, diltiazem, amlodipine, or acebutolol together can intensify blood pressure reduction and slow heart rate.
• Antifungals & antibiotics: Clotrimazole, ketoconazole, erythromycin, clarithromycin may affect medicine levels and heighten potential for adverse effects.
• HIV treatments: Ritonavir, saquinavir can elevate drug levels in your body.
• Diabetes medicines: Metformin, insulin—monitor blood sugar closely, and be aware of possible effects on blood sugar control.
• Immunosuppressants/mental health drugs: Cyclosporine, tacrolimus, prochlorperazine, amitriptyline, phenobarbital, St. John’s Wort.
• Statins and cholesterol-lowering medicines: Simvastatin can see interactions.
• Others: Tuberculosis treatment (rifampicin), digoxin for heart failure, muscle relaxants (baclofen), and certain anesthetics can interact.

• Salty, processed foods & red meat: May worsen blood pressure control and should be limited during therapy.
