Introduction About MOKA AD TABLET
MOKA AD TABLET contains Acebrophylline, desloratadine and montelukast that help in improving breathing difficulties associated with various conditions like asthma, hay fever and allergic rhinitis. These conditions trigger an allergic reaction like narrowing of the airway passages like bronchi which in turn leads to difficulty in breathing and chest pain.
MOKA AD TABLET relaxes the airways thereby removing the obstruction in the respiratory system, thus facilitating easy breathing. Also, it provides relief to various skin reactions like itch and rash.
MOKA AD TABLET is not recommended in patients suffering from various kidney disorders, liver disorders and heart disorders like an irregular heartbeat (arrhythmia), and chest pain due to insufficient supply of blood to the heart muscles (Myocardial Infarction).
Also, it is not recommended for children below the age of 6 years. It is recommended to consult a doctor before taking it as only he can decide the required dosage of MOKA AD TABLET based on body mass, age and condition of infection.
The common side effects reported with the usage of MOKA AD TABLET are diarrhoea, nausea and vomiting. It should be immediately stopped if the symptoms of Asthma get severe.
Uses Of MOKA AD TABLET
- Manage breathlessness and wheezing caused due to an obstruction in the lungs (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease)
- Manage breathlessness and chest pain occurring due to the narrowing of the tubes called bronchi (bronchial asthma)
- Manage inflammation of bronchi (bronchitis)
- Manage the inflammation of the nasal passages characterized by sneezing, runny or itchy nose, itchy palate and eyes, in adults and adolescents of 12 years of age and older due to allergy (Allergic Rhinitis) (Ex. Hay fever or allergy to dust mites)
- Relieve the dry, itchy skin associated with Hives/ Urticaria
- Manage children between the age of 6 to 14 years who need additional therapy
- Manage asthma in children who are not able to use inhaled steroids
- Prevent breathlessness due to exercise by managing the narrowing of nasal passages
How MOKA AD TABLET Works
MOKA AD TABLET contains Acebrophylline, desloratadine and montelukast. Acebrophylline helps in relaxing the muscles of the bronchi thus widening the lumen (bronchodilator) and regulating mucous production and clearance and thus resulting in providing relief from inflammation (anti-inflammatory property) which provides relief from breathing difficulties.
Desloratadine helps to control various allergic reactions and also does not make you feel sleepy and/or drowsy. Montelukast blocks the action of various allergic-producing chemicals in the body (leukotrienes), thus providing relief and improving the symptoms of asthma and/or hay fever and/or seasonal allergies like wheezing and breathing difficulty by managing narrowing and swelling of lung airways. Thus, together these medicines present in MOKA AD TABLET help in improving breathing difficulties associated with various causes.
How to use MOKA AD TABLET
Take MOKA AD TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. It is recommended to take medicine thirty to sixty minutes before or after taking food. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending on your age, body weight and disease condition.
Side Effects Of MOKA AD TABLET
Common
- frequent passing of loose stools (diarrhoea)
- feeling sick (nausea)
- pain and/or discomfort in the abdomen
- loss of appetite
- constipation
- outward swelling in the abdomen (abdominal distension)
- development of itch and rash on the skin along (urticaria)
- burning of the heart (heartburn)
- bleeding of the oesophagus
- inflammation of nasal passages
- drowsiness
- difficulty in breathing
- decrease in the count of white blood cells (leukocytosis)
- fatigue
- dry mouth
- headache
- infection in the upper respiratory tract comprising the trachea, bronchi
- increased body temperature (fever)
Uncommon
- allergic reaction comprising of swelling of face and/or lips and/or tongue and/or throat leading to difficulty in swallowing and breathing
- agitation, depression, anxiety, aggression and another mood/behavior-related changes
- dream abnormalities like nightmares, sleepwalking and troubled sleep
- fits (seizures)
- feeling dizzy and drowsy
- feeling numbness
- dry mouth
- digestive issues like indigestion
- bleeding from the nose
- skin issues like the development of rash and bruises
- pain in muscles and joints
- cramps in muscles
- feeling of tiredness and weakness
- feeling sick
- dry mouth
Rare
- headache
- feeling of numbness in the arm
- difficulty in sleeping (insomnia)
- increase in the rate of heartbeat (tachycardia)
- fatigue
- increase in blood pressure (hypertension)
- decrease in blood pressure (hypotension)
- excretion of protein in the urine (albuminuria)
- excretion of glucose in urine (glycosuria)
- increase in the sugar levels of blood (hyperglycemia)
- increase in the tendency to bleed (frequent bleeding)
- feeling of the heart beating fast (palpitations)
- rapid jerking of muscles (tremors)
- disturbance in attention and memory
- uncontrolled movements of muscles
Stop taking MOKA AD TABLET and consult your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following:
- chills and fever
- allergic reactions like difficulty in breathing, wheezing, itching, hives and swelling
- symptoms of asthma get worse
- development of flu-like symptoms
- numbness of arms and/or legs
How To Manage Side Effects
Constipation
Eat healthy meals that are rich in fiber. Try to incorporate green leafy vegetables and whole grains in your diet. Take an adequate amount of water. Consult your doctor if it persists for a long or worsens with time.
Diarrhea
Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating heavily rich or spicy food. Drink Oral Rehydration Solution to compensate for the loss of water and minerals. Stay hydrated. Consult your doctor if it persists for a long or worsens with time.
Headache
Stay hydrated and take rest as much as possible. Stay away from harsh lights and loud sounds. Apply a pain-relieving balm on the forehead and/or take Aspirin or Acetaminophen. If the headache persists or worsens, consult your doctor.
Nausea And Vomiting
Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating heavily rich or spicy food. Stay hydrated. Consult your doctor if it persists for a long or worsens with time.
Tiredness
Drink plenty of fluids and electrolytes and eat a balanced diet with an increased frequency of meals. Try to do regular minimal exercise and follow a proper sleep schedule. If the symptom does not improve consult your doctor for the same.

Alcohol

Use In Pediatrics

Others
MOKA AD TABLET is not recommended for use if you:
- are allergic to acebrophylline and/or theophylline and/or any other xanthine derivative and/or desloratadine and/or montelukast and/or any other constituent of this medicine
- are suffering from chest pain due to a shortage of oxygen to the heart (acute myocardial infarction)
- are suffering from low blood pressure and irregular heartbeats (arrhythmia)
- are suffering from the disorder of the kidney and liver
Before taking MOKA AD TABLET, inform your doctor if you:
- have dysfunctional kidney
- had/have medical and/or family history of seizures
Interactions
A. Drug-Drug Interactions:
Before taking MOKA AD TABLET, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicine:
- medicines to manage gout (ex. allopurinol)
- medicines to manage ulcers (ex. cimetidine)
- medicines to relieve inflammatory disorders (corticosteroids)
- medicines to manage infections (ex, ciprofloxacin, erythromycin, amoxicillin, doxycycline)
- medications to manage parasitic (pinworm) infection (ex. thiabendazole)
- medicines to manage heart disorders (ex. diltiazem, verapamil, isoprenaline, frusemide)
- oral medicines for contraception (ex. estrogen)
- medicines to manage epilepsy (ex. phenobarbital, phenytoin)
- medicines used to manage various infections like tuberculosis (ex. rifampicin)
Overdosage:
If you or anyone else accidentally takes too much MOKA AD TABLET, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital. Symptoms of an overdose are
nausea, severe vomiting, pain in the stomach, and blood in the vomit (haematemesis). If abdominal pain persists for a long time, it may indicate inflammation of the pancreas (pancreatitis). Other symptoms include restlessness, increased tonicity of muscles (hypertonia), exaggerated limb reflexes, and convulsions.
