Introduction About METPURE AR 5MG TABLET
METPURE AR 5MG TABLET is a combination of Atorvastatin, Metoprolol and Ramipril which belongs to the group of medicines called Antihypertensives and Antihyperlipidemics respectively. It is used to manage hypertension (high blood pressure) and hyperlipidemia (high blood cholesterol levels) in patients who have both co-existing medical conditions.
It can also be used to manage the risk of heart attack, stroke, angina and other heart problems. It also protects the function of kidneys particularly in patients who have both hypertension and type II diabetes mellitus.
Along with the management, you must follow a cholesterol-lowering diet, lifestyle changes and regular physical activity as instructed by your doctor to achieve better results. Avoid consuming alcohol or grapefruit juice while taking METPURE AR 5MG TABLET as it may make this medicine less effective.

How METPURE AR 5MG TABLET Works
METPURE AR 5MG TABLET contains three medicines namely atorvastatin, metoprolol and ramipril. Metoprolol is a beta-blocker. It blocks the effects of certain chemical messengers in the body (such as adrenaline) that increases heart rate and blood pressure.
Ramipril is an ACE inhibitor. It blocks the effects of certain enzymes in the body (such as angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE)) that causes narrowing of blood vessels and increase in blood pressure.
Atorvastatin is a lipid-lowering medicine. It blocks the release of certain enzymes (HMG-CoA reductase) in the body that is involved in cholesterol formation. It also reduces the amount of cholesterol produced by the liver and improves the excretion of lipids from the body via faeces.
Collectively, this medicine reduces blood pressure and blood cholesterol levels and manages you from their associated risks.
