How MEROKWIK S 1000/500MG INJECTION Works

MEROKWIK S 1000/500MG INJECTION contains two medicines namely meropenem and sulbactam. Meropenem is a powerful antibiotic. It kills the susceptible bacteria by interfering with the bacterial cell wall synthesis. It is effective against a wide range of bacteria (including both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria).

Sulbactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor. It sustains the anti-bacterial activity of meropenem against the toxic bacterial proteins (such as beta lactamases).
