Magnesium Sulphate (Epsom Salt) Powder is a laxative used to relieve occasional constipation. It can also be applied on sprains, bruises and boils to relieve pain. It contains magnesium sulphate as an active ingredient which helps to increase the number of bowel movements.
Magnesium sulphate exerts a potent laxative effect by releasing digestive hormones and neurotransmitters (nerve chemicals). It is also found to relieve pain by managing the activation of receptors found in nerve cells that regulate pain.
Always take Magnesium Sulphate (Epsom Salt) Powder as advised by your doctor. Do not take if you have any stomach or intestine problem, kidney problem, or severe stomach pain. Do not give it to children with tapeworms or threadworms.
Drink enough water to avoid dehydration. Magnesium Sulphate (Epsom Salt) Powder should not be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It should be used with caution in elderly and weakened patients.
