    Introduction About LOTEPRED T EYE DROPS

    LOTEPRED T EYE DROPS is a combination of Loteprednol Etabonate and Tobramycin which belongs to the group of medicines called Corticosteroids and Antibiotics. It is used to manage inflammatory eye conditions along with superficial bacterial eye infections such as palpebral conjunctiva (the lining of your eyelids) and bulbar conjunctiva (the covering over the eyeball that protects the white of the eye), allergic conjunctivitis (eye inflammation caused by allergies).

    LOTEPRED T EYE DROPS is also used to manage acne rosacea (flushing of the face), superficial punctate keratitis (an eye disorder), herpes zoster keratitis (viral infection of eye), iritis (inflammation of coloured part of the eye), cyclitis (inflammation of the muscles that operate the lens of eyes), chronic anterior uveitis (inflammation of front part of the eye) and eye injury from chemical, radiation or thermal burns or penetration of foreign bodies.

    LOTEPRED T EYE DROPS is not recommended for use if you have epithelial herpes simplex keratitis (viral infection of the eye), vaccinia (smallpox) and varicella (chicken pox) or fungal diseases of the eye. Consult your doctor before using it.

    LOTEPRED T EYE DROPS should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease, glaucoma (increased eye pressure), cataracts (cloudy eyes). Consult your doctor before using it.

    LOTEPRED T EYE DROPS is generally not recommended for use in pregnancy unless considered clearly necessary. It should be used with caution in breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor before using it.

    LOTEPRED T EYE DROPS is not recommended for use in children. It should be used with caution in elderly patients. The most common side effects of using LOTEPRED T EYE DROPS are burning and stinging sensation upon instillation. Consult your doctor if any of the symptoms worsen.

    LOTEPRED T EYE DROPS is a combination of Loteprednol and Tobramycin where Loteprednol Etabonate is a Corticosteroid that helps to reduce swelling and inflammation and Tobramycin works by killing the bacteria or managing it from growing. Together helps to manage inflammatory eye conditions along with bacterial infection.

    How to use LOTEPRED T EYE DROPS

    Use LOTEPRED T EYE DROPS as advised by your doctor. It is for ophthalmic use only. Shake well before use. Tilt your head backward, hold the bottle upside down above the eye and dispense drops with gentle pressure. Do not touch tip of container to any surface to avoid contamination.

    Side Effects Of LOTEPRED T EYE DROPS

    Common

    • superficial punctate keratitis (damage to the cells of eye's outer layer)
    • burning and stinging upon instillation

    Stop applying LOTEPRED T EYE DROPS and contact your physician immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:

    • allergic reactions
    • increased or persistent irritation

    • have glaucoma (increased eye pressure)
    • have cataracts (cloudy eyes) or are scheduled for cataract surgery
    • have bacterial eye infections

    Before using LOTEPRED T EYE DROPS, inform your doctor if you are taking, have taken or might take any other medicine, including prescription, non-prescription or any herbal medicine.

    Overdosage:

    If you or anyone else accidentally put too much of LOTEPRED T EYE DROPS or if there is the accidental ingestion, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital.

    Q: How often can I use LOTEPRED T EYE DROPS?

    A: Apply LOTEPRED T EYE DROPS as advised by your physician. It is for ophthalmic use only. Apply one or two drops of LOTEPRED T EYE DROPS into the affected eye every four to six hours. Consult your doctor before using it.

    Q: Does LOTEPRED T EYE DROPS cause glaucoma?

    A: Apply LOTEPRED T EYE DROPS as advised by your physician. Prolonged use of corticosteroids may result in glaucoma (Increased eye pressure) with damage to the optic nerve and also cause a decrease in clarity or sharpness of vision. Your doctor will monitor your eye pressure If this medicine is used for 10 days or longer.

    Q: Can I wear a contact lens while using LOTEPRED T EYE DROPS?

    A: Avoid wearing contact lenses if you use this medicine and you should remove contact lenses before using this medicine and put them back 15 minutes after use. Consult your doctor for advice before using it.

    A: LOTEPRED T EYE DROPS should be used only in the eyes. Be careful and do not touch the tip of the bottle to your eye or any other surface to avoid contamination. Consult your physician if pain develops, redness, itching or inflammation becomes aggravated.
