Introduction About LIVOLUK SOLUTION
LIVOLUK Solution is a laxative medicine used to provide relief from constipation and as an adjuvant in the management of hepatic encephalopathy. It contains lactulose as an active ingredient.
Lactulose works by retaining more water/fluid within the intestines which softens hard stools, thus facilitating the easy passage of feces. It also increases the number of bowel movements which helps in relieving occasional constipation. Studies have shown that by managing constipation, it eliminates the toxic gas (ammonia) from the gut which could worsen hepatic encephalopathy.
Take LIVOLUK Solution as advised by your physician. Shake the medicine well before use. Measure the required quantity of the medicine in the measuring cup provided with the package.
Before taking LIVOLUK Solution inform your doctor if you have diabetes, stomach pain or any genetic problems. Do not take LIVOLUK Solution without consulting your doctor if you are allergic to lactulose or have any blockage or obstruction in the gut or inflammation or perforations in the intestines. LIVOLUK Solution can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. However, consult your doctor for advice.
