Introduction About LEXIFER SYRUP
Lexifer Syrup is a nutritional supplement which is used to manage iron deficiency anaemia (a disorder causing low red blood cells in the body). It contains sodium feredetate (iron) as an active ingredient which helps meet up the iron requirement of the body when the dietary intake is not sufficient.
Sodium feredetate provides iron which is a vital component of haemoglobin that helps to produce red blood cells which are necessary to carry enough oxygen throughout the body. It is an essential mineral which is needed for maintaining good health and to manage the complications of iron deficiency anaemia.
Always take Lexifer Syrup as advised by your doctor. It is not recommended for use in patients having metabolic disorders (Ex. hemochromatosis, hemosiderosis) and in patients receiving repeated blood transfusions or parenteral iron therapy.
Lexifer Syrup should be used with caution in patients having haemolytic anaemia (faster destruction of red blood cells in the body), iron storage or iron absorption diseases or existing gastrointestinal diseases. It should also be used with caution in first trimester of pregnancy so, consult your doctor before taking it.
