Introduction About LEVOSALBUTAMOL INHALER
LEVOSALBUTAMOL INHALER contains Levosalbutamol which belongs to the group of medicines called Bronchodilators. It is indicated in the management or management of bronchospasm (constriction of airways) in adults, adolescents, and children 4 years of age and older with reversible obstructive airway disease.
Your doctor might ask you to take several diagnostic tests before starting the management with LEVOSALBUTAMOL INHALER.
It should be used with caution in patients having cardiovascular disorders (coronary insufficiency, cardiac arrhythmias, and high blood pressure), kidney diseases, epilepsy, overactive thyroid gland, and diabetes.
Caution must be exercised while using LEVOSALBUTAMOL INHALER in pregnant and breast-feeding women. Consult with your doctor before using.
Your doctor will prescribe the right dose depends on your child’s age, body weight and disease condition. Consult your doctor before using LEVOSALBUTAMOL INHALER.
It should be used with caution in elderly patients above 65 years of age. Consult your doctor immediately if you experience any side effects or persist for a longer duration.

LEVOSALBUTAMOL INHALER helps in the management of bronchospasm acts by relaxing smooth muscle in the bronchial tubes (airway) to increase air flow and relieve shortness of breath by activation of an enzyme which inhibits the release of cells called mast cells which are responsible for causing asthma.
How to use LEVOSALBUTAMOL INHALER
Use LEVOSALBUTAMOL INHALER as advised by your physician. It is for oral inhalational use only. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of LEVOSALBUTAMOL INHALER for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
Side Effects Of LEVOSALBUTAMOL INHALER
Rare
Stop using LEVOSALBUTAMOL INHALER and inform your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
- sudden shortness of breath (constriction of airways)
- asthma getting worsen
- severe allergic rection presenting as swelling of the face, throat or tongue, hives, rash, breathing problems
- heart problems (changes in heart rate or blood pressure)
- low potassium levels in blood
Warning & Precautions

Pregnancy
LEVOSALBUTAMOL INHALER should be used with caution in pregnant women or women planning to have a baby as safety and effectiveness to the baby and mother has not been established yet. Dose will be adjusted by your doctor. Consult your doctor before using it.

Breastfeeding
LEVOSALBUTAMOL INHALER should be used with caution in breastfeeding women as it is not known if LEVOSALBUTAMOL INHALER passes through mother’s milk. Consult your doctor before using it.

Kidney
LEVOSALBUTAMOL INHALER should be used with caution in patients with kidney problems. Consult your doctor before using it.

Allergy
Do not use LEVOSALBUTAMOL INHALER if you are allergic to Levosalbutamol or any other ingredients of this medicine.

Heart Disease
LEVOSALBUTAMOL INHALER should be used with caution in patients with heart diseases such as coronary insufficiency, irregular heartbeat, and high blood pressure. Consult your doctor before using.

- epilepsy
- thyroid problems

A. Drug-Drug Interactions:
Before using LEVOSALBUTAMOL INHALER inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicine:
- other short acting bronchodilators such as albuterol, terbutaline (used to manage asthma)
- beta blockers such as metoprolol, propranolol (used to manage irregular heartbeat), digoxin (used to manage heart disease)
- diuretics (water medicine) such as furosemide, chlorothiazide
- MAO inhibitors such as isocarboxazid, tricyclic antidepressants such as nortriptyline, amitriptyline (used to manage depression)
- halothane, enflurane, isoflurane, desflurane, sevoflurane (used as anaesthetics)
- corticosteroids (anti-inflammatory drug Ex. dexamethasone, hydrocortisone)
Overdosage:
If you or anyone else accidentally use too much of LEVOSALBUTAMOL INHALER, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital. The symptoms of overdosage of LEVOSALBUTAMOL INHALER are fastened heart rate, nervousness, headache, tremor, nausea, dry mouth, palpitation, dizziness, fatigue, and sleeplessness.
