Introduction About LAFAXID 10MG TABLET
LAFAXID 10MG TABLET contains Lafutidine which belongs to a group of medicines called Antiulcer agents. LAFAXID 10MG TABLET is used to manage gastric, duodenal, and stomach ulcers in affected individuals.
LAFAXID 10MG TABLET is also used to manage gastric mucosal lesions (redness/edema, erosion, hemorrhage) associated with acute gastritis and acute exacerbation of chronic gastritis (inflammation of stomach) in affected individuals.
LAFAXID 10MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients allergic to Lafutidine.
Before taking LAFAXID 10MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you are undergoing dialysis, and/or suffer from liver problems (such as impaired hepatic function) or kidney problems (such as impaired renal function).
LAFAXID 10MG TABLET should be used with caution during pregnancy and in women planning for pregnancy only if it is clearly necessary. The medicine is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women
LAFAXID 10MG TABLET is advised to be used with caution in children and adolescents (aged below 18 years) which is also advised to be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years/above) after consulting the doctor.
The most common side effects of taking LAFAXID 10MG TABLET are constipation, and diarrhea. Consult your doctor if any of these symptoms worsens.

How LAFAXID 10MG TABLET Works
LAFAXID 10MG TABLET works by blocking H2 receptors (responsible for stimulating acid production in stomach) and increases mucin secretions inside the stomach which leads to decreased acid secretion and promotes healing (due to ulcers in stomach and small intestine) thus providing relief and promoting healing from gastric & duodenal ulcers and acute & chronic gastritis in affected individuals.
How to use LAFAXID 10MG TABLET
Take LAFAXID 10MG TABLET as advised by your physician. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Swallow the medicine with glass of water. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.

How To Manage Side Effects
Constipation:
Try to eat high-fiber foods such as vegetables, cereals, fresh fruit, and drink plenty of water. Involve in regular exercise (going for a daily walk or run) and if this does not help, consult and inform your doctor for receiving alternate managements for constipation.
Diarrhea:
Drink plenty of water and stay hydrated. Try to avoid taking any medicine on your own to manage diarrhea. Consult your doctor and inform them if the symptom gets worse.

Allergy
