Introduction About LACRELAX IG GRANULES
Lacrelax IG Granules is a laxative medicine used to manage constipation in adults only. It contains Ispaghula husk and Lactitol as the key ingredients.
Lactitol monohydrate is an osmotic laxative. It draws water into the intestines via osmosis and softens the hard stools thus facilitating the easy passage of faeces.
Ispaghula husk (also known as Psyllium husk) is a plant-based dietary fibre that acts as a gentle bulk-forming laxative. When combined with water, it swells and forms a gel-like mass that lubricates the intestines and bulks up the stool volume.
It also helps in retaining more water/fluid within the intestines which softens the hard stools, thus facilitating the easy transit of stools. By increasing the stool bulk, it also increases the tension in the bowel wall which may trigger bowel movements.
Take Lacrelax IG Granules as advised by your physician. Add two dry scoops of Lacrelax IG Granules to a glass of water. Stir briskly and consume the mixture immediately. Follow it with a glass of water.
Before taking Lacrelax IG Granules inform your doctor if you have any stomach problems. Lacrelax IG Granules is not recommended for use in patients with intestinal obstruction, faecal impaction, or colonic atony and in patients hypersensitive to ispaghula or lactitol.
