Introduction About KENACORT 4MG TABLET
KENACORT 4MG TABLET contains Triamcinolone which belongs to the group of medicines called Corticosteroids. It is used to reduce pain, inflammation and swelling associated with autoimmune skin disorders (Ex. contact dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, etc.) and joints disorders (Ex. rheumatoid arthritis, gouty arthritis, osteoarthritis).
It can also be used in the management of allergic rhinitis, asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disorders (COPD). It may also be used as an adjunct therapy for adrenal insufficiency.
Take KENACORT 4MG TABLET with meals to avoid stomach upset. Before taking KENACORT 4MG TABLET inform your doctor if you have any liver, kidney or heart problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have diabetes, hypertension, thyroid problems, muscle problems, intestinal diseases, fungal or viral infections, fits, osteoporosis or any mental illnesses as a precaution.
Do not take KENACORT 4MG TABLET without consulting your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. The most common side effects of taking KENACORT 4MG TABLET are stomach upset, vomiting, headache, dizziness, trouble sleeping, depression, acne, increased hair growth in the body and irregular or lack of menstrual periods. Consult your doctor if any of these side effects worsens.
You must also inform your doctor if you experience any unusual weight gain during therapy with KENACORT 4MG TABLET.

It is used to manage:

- Signs of allergic rhinitis (repeated sneezing, nasal congestion, watery or itchy eyes or nose)
- Asthma and COPD
How KENACORT 4MG TABLET Works
KENACORT 4MG TABLET is a steroid medication. It acts by suppressing the release if certain chemicals in the body that causes pain, inflammation and swelling. It also supresses the release of certain inflammatory mediators in the airways that causes swelling and narrowing. As a result, it reduces inflammation and swelling caused due to allergic and auto-immune disease conditions.
How to use KENACORT 4MG TABLET
Take KENACORT 4MG TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. KENACORT 4MG TABLET should be taken with meals.
Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.

Nausea And Vomiting
Take KENACORT 4MG TABLET with or just after meals. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oily or spicy foods. Consult your doctor if your nausea worsens.

- medicines used for blood thinning (such as warfarin)
- medicines used for joint pain (such as indomethacin, aceclofenac, paracetamol, etc.)
- aspirin (a medicines used for pain relief)
- cyclosporine (a medicine used for immune suppression)
- digoxin (a medicine used to manage irregular heart rate)
- ketoconazole (a medicine used to manage fungal infections)
- oral contraceptives (birth control pills) Ex. ethinylestradiol
- theophylline (a medicine used to manage asthma)
- medicines used to control fits (such as phenytoin, phenobarbital)
- rifampin (a medicine used to manage bacterial infections)
- hormone medicines used to manage menopausal symptoms (such as Estradiol)

While taking KENACORT 4MG TABLET it is recommended to follow a low salt, and a high protein and potassium rich diet to achieve better results.
