Introduction About JEVTANA 60MG INJECTION
JEVTANA 60MG INJECTION contains Cabazitaxel, which belongs to the group of medicines called Anti-neoplastic agents. It is indicated in combination with prednisone for the management of patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer previously managed with a docetaxel-containing management regimen.
Castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC) is a form of advanced prostate cancer. With metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC), the cancer stops responding to hormone management, and it is found in other parts of the body. It can spread to nearby lymph nodes, bones, the bladder, rectum, liver, lungs, and maybe the brain.
JEVTANA 60MG INJECTION is not recommended to be received if you are allergic to Cabazitaxel or any other ingredient of this medicine. JEVTANA 60MG INJECTION is not recommended if you are pregnant, nursing, or are diagnosed with severe impairment of liver function. It should be used with caution if you are diagnosed with any respiratory disorder, end-stage kidney disease, or liver dysfunction. Consult your doctor before receiving it.
The most common side effects associated with JEVTANA 60MG INJECTION are decreased count of red blood cells (anemia), unusual bleeding or bruising due to decreased count of platelets, tiredness, nausea, pain in the stomach or abdomen, constipation, decreased appetite, change in taste, weakness, blood in the urine, pain in the back and joints, fever, shortness of breath, cough, loss of hair, sensation of numbness, tingling, or burning, and/or decreased sensation in your hands and feet. Consult your doctor immediately if any of the above side effects worsen.

- It is used in combination with prednisone for the management of patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer, previously managed with a docetaxel-containing management regimen.
How JEVTANA 60MG INJECTION Works
JEVTANA 60MG INJECTION belongs to the microtubule inhibitor, which binds to tubulin and promotes its assembly into microtubules while simultaneously inhibiting disassembly. This leads to the stabilization of microtubules, which results in the inhibition of mitotic and interphase cellular functions.
How to use JEVTANA 60MG INJECTION
JEVTANA 60MG INJECTION will be administered to you only by a doctor or a nurse. Your doctor will decide the correct duration for you depending on your age, body weight, and disease condition.
