    Introduction About JANUVIA 25MG TABLET

    JANUVIA 25MG TABLET is used to manage type 2 diabetes alone or along with other anti-diabetic medicines, diet, and exercise. It contains Sitagliptin which belongs to the group of medicines called Anti-diabetic drugs.

    Before taking JANUVIA 25MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you have any disease of the pancreas, gallstones, alcohol dependence, very high levels of fat in your blood, type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, or any kidney or heart problems.

    JANUVIA 25MG TABLET is not recommended for use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age. The most common side effects are low blood sugar, headache, upper respiratory infection, stuffy or runny nose, sore throat, osteoarthritis, and arm or leg pain. Contact your doctor if any of the symptoms worsen.

    How JANUVIA 25MG TABLET Works

    JANUVIA 25MG TABLET works by slowing down the inactivation of gut hormones released after eating the meals. This kind of action increases the secretion of insulin and decreases glucagon release (a hormone that raises blood glucose levels), resulting in an overall increase in blood glucose control.

    How to use JANUVIA 25MG TABLET

    • Take JANUVIA 25MG TABLET as advised by your physician
    • Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine
    • Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight, and disease condition

    Side Effects Of JANUVIA 25MG TABLET

    Common side effects of JANUVIA 25MG TABLET:

    • signs of low blood sugar (drowsiness, irritability, hunger, dizziness, confusion, sweating, weakness, and fast heartbeat)
    • stuffy or runny nose, sore throat
    • joint pain
    • flatulence, stomach pain, diarrhea, constipation

    Stop taking JANUVIA 25MG TABLET and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:

    • signs of pancreatitis (severe and continuous pain in the stomach area that might reach through your back with or without nausea and vomiting)
    • signs of a serious allergic reaction (rash, hives, blistering or peeling of the skin, and swelling of the face, lips, tongue, and throat that may cause trouble breathing or difficulty swallowing)
    • bullous pemphigoid symptoms, such as skin blistering

    Driving and Using Machines

    Kidney

    JANUVIA 25MG TABLET should be used with caution in patients with kidney problems.

Check your blood sugar after 10 minutes. If not at the optimum level, take another sugary snack or drink and check the blood sugar again.
