Introduction About ITROSTRED GEL
ITROSTRED GEL is used to manage fungal infections of the skin, nails, vagina, etc. It contains a medicine called Itraconazole, which belongs to the group of medicines called Antifungals. It works by stopping the growth of fungus that causes these infections.
ITROSTRED GEL is not recommended for use in patients who are allergic to Itraconazole. It is also not recommended for use in pregnant women unless it is clearly advised by the doctor, and it is not recommended for use in breast-feeding women.
ITROSTRED GEL should be used with caution in children and adolescents (aged below 18 years) since the medicine is known to be associated with a range of potential drug interactions. Consult your child’s doctor for advice.

ITROSTRED GEL works by inhibiting ergosterol synthesis (an organic compound responsible for maintaining cell membrane integrity of fungi cells) that leads to fungal cell membrane abnormalities (marked with increased permeability and disruption of fungi cells), thus causing destruction to the fungi cell and managing the occurrence of fungal infections in affected individuals.
How to use ITROSTRED GEL
- Apply this medicine as directed by your doctor.
- It is for external use only.
- Wash your hands before and after use to ensure hygiene is maintained.
- Apply a thin layer of this medicine to the affected site.
- Avoid contact with this medicine in your eyes, ears, and nose.
- Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight, and disease condition.
