INTRODUCTION
INTAZIN COLD SUSPENSION is a combination of Cetirizine, Paracetamol and Phenylephrine which belongs to the group of medicines called Anti-allergic, Analgesic & Antipyretic, Nasal and Decongestant respectively. INTAZIN COLD SUSPENSION is used to relieve common cold symptoms such as blocked nose, runny nose, fever, watery eyes, sneezing, allergic rhinitis, and nasal congestion.
Common cold is a viral infection that affects the nose and throat. Fever is generally increased body temperature in response to an infection. Avoid alcohol consumption while taking INTAZIN COLD SUSPENSION as it leads to excessive drowsiness. Before taking INTAZIN COLD SUSPENSION, inform your doctor if you have liver problems, kidney problems, convulsions, diabetes, or thyroid problems.
INTAZIN COLD SUSPENSION should be used with caution in pregnant women and it is not recommended to use in breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor before taking it. The most common side effects of INTAZIN COLD SUSPENSION are nausea, vomiting, sleepiness, and dizziness. Consult your doctor for advice if any of the above symptoms worsen.

It is used to relieve common cold symptoms such as:

HOW INTAZIN COLD SUSPENSION WORKS
INTAZIN COLD SUSPENSION is a combination of Cetirizine, Paracetamol, and Phenylephrine where Cetirizine is an H1 receptor antagonist that works by blocking the action of a chemical messenger (histamine) responsible for runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing. It also has anti-inflammatory action. Paracetamol is an analgesic and antipyretic that acts by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins (chemicals that cause inflammation, pain, and fever) which helps in reducing pain and fever. Phenylephrine is a nasal decongestant that acts by narrowing the small blood vessels providing temporary relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Take INTAZIN COLD SUSPENSION as advised by your physician. Shake well before use. The dose and duration for you will be decided by your physician depending on your age, body weight, and disease condition.

HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTS
Dizziness Or Drowsiness

Nausea And Vomiting
Drink clear or ice-cold drinks. Eat light, bland foods. Avoid fried, greasy, or sweet foods. Eat slowly and smaller and more frequent meals, drink gradually larger amounts of clear liquids, avoid solid food until the vomiting episode has passed, and take rest. If the symptom does not improve, contact your doctor.

A. Drug-Drug interactions:
Before taking INTAZIN COLD SUSPENSION, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicine:
- medicines used to treat depression (Ex. Isocarboxazid, Phenelzine)
- medicines used for colds, cough, sleeping (Ex. Chlorpheniramine, diazepam, opioids)
- medicines used to treat epilepsy (Ex. phenobarbital, phenytoin, sodium valproate, primidone, and carbamazepine)
- medicines used to treat HIV infections (Ex. zidovudine)
- warfarin (a medicine used to treat blood clotting)
- medicines used to treat nausea and vomiting (Ex. domperidone and metoclopramide)
Overdosage:
If you or anyone else accidentally takes too much of INTAZIN COLD SUSPENSION or if you or a child accidentally swallow this medicine, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital.
