Introduction About INSTARAFT SUGAR FREE MIXED BERRY FLAVOUR ORAL SUSPENSION

INSTARAFT Oral Suspension is used to manage gastrointestinal symptoms like acidity, acid reflux, heartburn and indigestion. It contains Calcium Carbonate, Sodium Alginate and Sodium Bicarbonate as active ingredients which works by forming a protective gel and foam (raft) over the walls of the stomach which acts as a barrier, preventing the stomach acid from flowing back into the esophagus, thus reducing symptoms of acid reflux.

Always take INSTARAFT Oral Suspension exactly as directed by your doctor. It can be taken after meals at bedtime. Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you have any stomach inflammation, kidney problems, heart problems, dehydration or electrolyte imbalance. There should be a 2-hour gap between taking InstaRaft and any other medications.

INSTARAFT Oral Suspension can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding women if advised by the physician. It can be administered to children aged 12 years or older if prescribed by the physician. Studies have shown that INSTARAFT Oral Suspension is generally safe and well-tolerated. However, consult your doctor if you experience any unusual side effects.

Uses Of INSTARAFT SUGAR FREE MIXED BERRY FLAVOUR ORAL SUSPENSION

    • It is used to manage gastrointestinal symptoms like acidity, acid reflux, heartburn and indigestion.

How INSTARAFT SUGAR FREE MIXED BERRY FLAVOUR ORAL SUSPENSION Works

INSTARAFT Oral Suspension contains three ingredients namely Sodium Alginate, Calcium Carbonate and Sodium Bicarbonate.

The sodium alginate present in the medicine forms an alginic acid gel (a gel form) with a near-neutral pH when it comes in contact with stomach acid. Sodium bicarbonate present in the medicine reacts with the gastric acid to produce carbon dioxide gas. This gas gets trapped in the alginic acid gel, turning it into a foam. This foam floats on top of the stomach contents, creating a "raft’ which acts as a barrier, preventing the stomach acid from flowing back into the esophagus, thus reducing symptoms of acid reflux.

The Calcium Carbonate present in the medicine interacts with sodium alginate and makes the foam raft stronger and more effective in maintaining its structure and position on top of the stomach contents. By doing so, INSTARAFT Oral Suspension provides a rapid and near-neutral pH environment in the stomach, leading to quick and effective relief from acidity, heartburn and indigestion.
