Introduction About IDEBEN NEW TABLET

IDEBEN NEW TABLET contains Idebenone which belongs to the group of medicines called Antioxidants. IDEBEN NEW TABLET is used to manage various manifestations of cerebrovascular insufficiency condition which occurs due to impaired cerebral circulation (low blood supply to the brain) and age-related involuntary changes in the brain in affected individuals.

IDEBEN NEW TABLET is also used to manage cerebroasthenic disorders (psychopathological conditions) which occurs in the form of memory/attention impairment, decreased intellectual productivity/general activity, emotional instability, moderate depressed states, headache, dizziness, and/or noise in the ears in affected individuals.

IDEBEN NEW TABLET is not recommended for use in patients allergic to Idebenone. It is also not recommended for use in patients suffering from severe kidney disease. Before taking IDEBEN NEW TABLET, inform your doctor if you suffer from moderate hepatic impairment.

IDEBEN NEW TABLET is generally not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women unless it is clearly necessary. The medicine is also not recommended for use in children and adolescents (aged below 18 years). It is advised to be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years/above) after consulting the doctor.  

The most common side effects of taking IDEBEN NEW TABLET are insomnia (sleeplessness), abdominal pain, nausea, and/or anxiety. Consult your doctor if any of these symptoms worsens.

Uses Of IDEBEN NEW TABLET

  • Manage various manifestations of cerebrovascular insufficiency condition (low blood supply to the brain) in affected individuals.
  • Manage cerebroasthenic disorders (psychopathological conditions) which occurs in the form of memory/attention impairment, decreased intellectual productivity/general activity, emotional instability, moderate depressed states, headache, dizziness, and/or noise in the ears in affected individuals

How IDEBEN NEW TABLET Works

IDEBEN NEW TABLET works by improving metabolic process in the brain which leads to activation of synthesis of glucose and adenosine triphosphate (organic compound that provides energy to the cell) in the brain cell resulting in improved blood supply and oxygenation of brain tissues thus managing various manifestations of cerebrovascular insufficiency condition and cerebroasthenic disorders in affected individuals. 

How to use IDEBEN NEW TABLET

Take IDEBEN NEW TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.

Side Effects Of IDEBEN NEW TABLET

Common

How To Manage Side Effects

Nausea:

Take IDEBEN NEW TABLET with/just after a meal. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oil rich/spicy foods, sugary snacks and drinks. Avoid drinking too much liquid along with your meals, and drink slowly in between meals. Consult your doctor if the condition worsens.

Pregnancy

IDEBEN NEW TABLET is generally not recommended for use during pregnancy unless it is clearly necessary. Consult your doctor before taking the medicine.

Breastfeeding

IDEBEN NEW TABLET is generally not recommended for use in breastfeeding women unless it is clearly necessary. Consult your doctor before taking the medicine.

Driving and Using Machines

Do not drive/operate machines if IDEBEN NEW TABLET affects your mental ability to do drive/use machines.

Kidney

IDEBEN NEW TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with kidney problems such as severe renal failure. Consult your doctor before taking the medicine.

Liver

IDEBEN NEW TABLET should be taken with caution in patients with liver problems such as moderate hepatic impairment. Consult your doctor before taking the medicine.

Allergy

Do not take IDEBEN NEW TABLET if you are allergic to Idebenone, and/or any other ingredients of this medicine.

Others

Use in Pediatrics:

IDEBEN NEW TABLET is generally not recommended to use in children and adolescents (aged below 18 years).  Consult your doctor before taking the medicine.

Use in Geriatrics:

IDEBEN NEW TABLET should be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years/above). Consult your doctor before taking the medicine.
