Introduction About HYNIDASE 1500IU INJECTION
HYNIDASE 1500IU INJECTION contains a medicine Hyaluronidase which belongs to the group of medicines called Enzyme. It is used to temporarily break down the natural barrier in the body tissues so that injection or fluids injected under the skin or into muscle are more easily spread and absorbed. It also enables excess fluids and blood in the tissues to be more easily reabsorbed.
HYNIDASE 1500IU INJECTION is not recommended for use in swelling of bites or stings, at sites where infection or malignancy (cancerous growth) is present, directly onto the front of the eye or if you are in premature labour.
HYNIDASE 1500IU INJECTION should be used with caution in pregnant and breastfeeding women. It should be used with caution in children and elderly patients. Consult your doctor before receiving. The most common side effects of receiving HYNIDASE 1500IU INJECTION are injection site reaction, oedema. Consult your doctor if symptoms do not improve.

Used to:
- temporarily break down the natural barrier in the body tissues
- enable excess fluid and blood in the tissue to be more easily reabsorbed
How HYNIDASE 1500IU INJECTION Works
HYNIDASE 1500IU INJECTION works by increase the permeability (able to pass though) of connective tissue through the breakdown of hyaluronic acid. This temporarily decrease the thickness of the cellular cement and increase spreading of injected fluids or of localized transudate or exudate, thus facilitating their absorption.
How to use HYNIDASE 1500IU INJECTION
HYNIDASE 1500IU INJECTION will be given to you only by a doctor or a nurse either into a muscle (intramuscular) or under the skin (subcutaneous). Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
Side Effects Of HYNIDASE 1500IU INJECTION
Common
- oedema (fluid build up in body causing swelling)
- injection site reaction
Rare
Stop receiving HYNIDASE 1500IU INJECTION and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
- angioedema (difficulty breathing, rapid pulse and profuse sweating)
- allergic reactions such as rash, itching, swelling around the eyes, face, lips, tongue etc
Warning & Precautions

Pregnancy
HYNIDASE 1500IU INJECTION should be used with caution in pregnant women or women planning to have a baby as safety data has not been established yet. Consult your doctor before receiving this medicine.

Breastfeeding
HYNIDASE 1500IU INJECTION should be used with caution in breast feeding women as it is not known if the medicine passes in the breast milk. Consult your doctor before receiving this medicine.

Driving and Using Machines
HYNIDASE 1500IU INJECTION has not been reported to affect ability to drive or operate machines.

Allergy
Do not receive HYNIDASE 1500IU INJECTION if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to Hyaluronidase or any other ingredients of this medicine.
Others
HYNIDASE 1500IU INJECTION is not recommended for use if you:
- have swelling of bites or stings
- have sites where infection or malignancy (cancerous growth) is present
- directly onto the front of the eye
- are in premature labour
Use in paediatrics:
HYNIDASE 1500IU INJECTION should be used with caution in children. The dose will be adjusted by your doctor. Consult your doctor before receiving this medicine.
Use in geriatrics:
HYNIDASE 1500IU INJECTION should be used with caution in elderly patients especially having kidney problems. Consult your doctor before receiving this medicine.
Interactions
A. Drug - Drug interactions:
Before receiving HYNIDASE 1500IU INJECTION, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicine:
- medicine used to manage Parkinson’s disease (Ex. dopamine)
- local anesthetics (Ex. lidocaine)
- salicylates (Ex. aspirin) to reduce pain, fever
- cortisone, cinnarizine (to manage allergic conditions)
- estrogens (to manage menstrual disorders)
- furosemide (to manage high blood pressure)
- benzodiazepines (Ex. diazepam, to manage anxiety)
- phenytoin (to manage seizures)
Overdosage:
HYNIDASE 1500IU INJECTION will be administered to you only by a doctor or a nurse in a hospital, and so you are unlikely to receive an overdose. However, consult your doctor or nurse if you experience any unusual symptoms like local edema or urticaria, redness of skin, chills, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, increased heart rate, and low blood pressure.
