    Description

The Hollister Conform 2 Urostomy Pouch is part of a two-piece pouching system designed to collect urine for individuals with a urostomy. This drainable pouch is intended to be used with a corresponding Hollister Conform 2 skin barrier of the same flange size. It features a tap at the bottom for emptying and can be connected to a bedside collector using an adapter. The pouch is constructed from polymer/copolymer plastics and a nonwoven fabric for comfort.

Two-Piece System: This system allows the pouch to be changed without removing the skin barrier, offering versatility.
Drain Valve with Teardrop Indicator: The pouch includes a tap for draining urine, and the indicator shows if the valve is open or closed.
Anti-Reflux Design: Internal valves help prevent the backflow of urine, which can contribute to security and confidence.
ComfortWear Panel: The body-side panel is made of a soft, nonwoven fabric for added comfort against the skin.
Belt Tabs: Includes tabs for the easy attachment of an ostomy belt for additional security.

    Q: Is this a one-piece or two-piece system?

A: The Hollister Conform 2 Urostomy Pouch (24830) is a pouch component of a two-piece pouching system, which means it is designed to be used with a corresponding Hollister Conform 2 skin barrier of the same flange size.

Q: How do you empty the urostomy pouch?

A: This pouch features a drain valve at the bottom that allows for the regulation of flow, making it easy to empty. An adapter is also typically included to connect the pouch to a bedside drainage collector for overnight use.

Q: What is the function of the anti-reflux feature?

A: The anti-reflux valve is an internal feature that minimizes the backflow of urine from the pouch back towards the stoma, which can help protect the skin and provide additional security.

Q: What are the ComfortWear panels for?

A: ComfortWear panels are soft, cloth-like coverings on the pouch that rest against the skin, helping to provide comfort during wear.

Q: How do I ensure the pouch is securely attached to the skin barrier?

A: The Conform 2 system has an integrated coupling system that produces an audible series of clicks when you press the pouch and skin barrier flanges together. When the clicks stop, the pouch is securely locked in position.
