Introduction About HEXIPREP 0.4% SOLUTION
Hexiprep Solution is a microbicidal, skin-prepping solution, used in presurgical preparation and as an asepsis solution for skin disinfection. It is also used for color demarcation of the area of the incision. It contains Chlorhexidine Gluconate as an active ingredient that kills the infection-causing bacteria.
Chlorhexidine Gluconate is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial, fights against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, yeasts, and viruses. It interacts with the microbial cell membrane and disrupts it, leading to leakage of the cellular components and destruction of the microbe.
Hexiprep Solution is only meant to be used by doctors. It is for external use only. Take the required amount of undiluted solution with a clean surgical cotton swab and apply it on the skin before surgery.
