Introduction About HEPALAIR TABLET

HEPALAIR TABLET is a combination of L Ornithine L Aspartate and Pancreatin which belongs to the group of medicines called Hepatoprotectors. It is used to manage acute and chronic hepatitis (inflammation of liver), cirrhosis of liver (scarring of liver tissue), jaundice (yellowish discolouration of skin and whites of eye), fatty liver or alcoholic liver disease, Liver protection against drugs and alcohol, atonic constipation, and hepatic encephalopathy (brain disorder due to severe liver disease). It is also used in adjunct to hepatotoxic drugs.

L Ornithine L Aspartate is an Amino acids works by increasing the levels of ornithine and aspartic acid in the body, these amino acids help to reduce levels of toxic chemical called ammonia in the blood. This helps to regenerate damaged liver cells which helps liver to carry out its functions smoothly and Pancreatin is a Digestive enzyme. Thus managing the liver disease and improves digestion.

How HEPALAIR TABLET Works

How to use HEPALAIR TABLET

Take HEPALAIR TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with water and do not crush or chew the medicine. Dose and duration will be decided by your physician depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.

How To Manage Side Effects

Nausea:

Take the medicine, with or just after a meal. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oily or spicy food. Contact your doctor if nausea worsen.

Stomach pain:

Try to rest and relax. Eat small meals but take frequently. Keep a heat pad on your stomach. Contact your doctor if the stomach pain did not improve.

Diarrhoea:

Drink plenty of water or fruit juices to keep you hydrated. Don’t take any medication on your own for managing diarrhoea. Contact your doctor if diarrhoea worsen.

Constipation:

Eat fibre rich foods such as vegetables, fresh fruits, and cereals. Drink adequate water and exercise regularly. Contact your doctor if constipation persists.

Tell your doctor if you are applying or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription, vitamin supplement or herbal products.

  • acarbose (medicine used for diabetes mellitus)

Overdosage:

If you or anyone else accidentally use too much of HEPALAIR TABLET or if you or a child accidentally swallow the medicine, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital.
