    Introduction About GLYNASE 5MG TABLET

GLYNASE 5MG TABLET contains Glipizide, which belongs to the group of medicines called Antidiabetic agents. It is used in adults in the management of type II diabetes mellitus when diet, exercise, and lifestyle changes alone do not result in an adequate response.

Type II diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease associated with abnormally high levels of glucose in the blood. It is caused either by inadequate production of a hormone called insulin (produced by the pancreas to metabolize glucose) or by inadequate sensitivity of body cells to the actions of insulin.

Before taking GLYNASE 5MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you have any liver or kidney problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have any hormonal problems, genetic disorders (such as G6PD deficiency), or if you are malnourished, starved, or on an irregular diet.

GLYNASE 5MG TABLET is not suitable for use in patients with type I diabetes mellitus. Consult your doctor before taking GLYNASE 5MG TABLET if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.

One of the most common side effects of taking GLYNASE 5MG TABLET is hypoglycemia (low blood sugar levels), which can be identified through symptoms such as increased hunger, dizziness, sweating, shakiness, headache, confusion, and visual disturbances. To avoid this, your doctor will periodically monitor your blood sugar levels and adjust the dose of GLYNASE 5MG TABLET accordingly.

You can also carry a sugary snack (such as biscuits, glucose drinks, or sweet candies) along with you as a precaution and have them immediately if you experience any signs of hypoglycemia. However, consult your doctor if there is no improvement in your condition. Other common side effects of taking GLYNASE 5MG TABLET are nausea, diarrhea, and stomach pain. Consult your doctor if they trouble you.

    Uses Of GLYNASE 5MG TABLET

    • Management of type II diabetes mellitus

    How GLYNASE 5MG TABLET Works

GLYNASE 5MG TABLET effectively controls blood sugar levels, where glipizide makes the pancreas secrete more insulin to digest the circulating sugars (glucose) in the blood. It also helps the body cells use insulin effectively, thereby reducing blood glucose levels.

How to use GLYNASE 5MG TABLET

Take GLYNASE 5MG TABLET before meals or as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine.

Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending on your age, body weight, and disease condition. Continue to take GLYNASE 5MG TABLET for the duration recommended by your doctor to achieve better control over blood sugar levels.
