    Introduction About FUSEE B CREAM

    FUSEE B CREAM is a combination of Beclomethasone and Fusidic acid which belongs to the group of medicines called Corticosteroids and Antibiotics respectively. It is used to manage specific skin infections caused by typical bacteria such as impetigo, folliculitis, eczema and seborrehic dermatitis.

    Impetigo is a skin infection that causes blisters or sores on the face, neck, hands, and diaper area. Folliculitis is a common skin condition that happens when hair follicles become inflamed.

    Seborrehic dermatitis is a skin condition that causes scaly patches and red skin, mainly on the scalp. Atopic dermatitis (eczema) is a condition that causes dry, itchy and inflamed skin. It is common in young children but can occur at any age.

    Do not apply FUSEE B CREAM on your eyes or face. Avoid using FUSEE B CREAM for a long time. Do not use FUSEE B CREAM under bandages.

    FUSEE B CREAM is not recommended for use in patients allergic to Beclomethasone or Fusidic acid.

    FUSEE B CREAM is not recommended for use in patients with other skin infections caused by bacteria or virus.

    Avoid concomitant use of other topical medicines and steroids while on management with FUSEE B CREAM.

    It is not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor for advice before using FUSEE B CREAM. It should be used with caution in children above 6 years of age.

    FUSEE B CREAM should be used with caution in elder patients. Consult your doctor before using. The most common side effects of FUSEE B CREAM are itching, skin rash, stretch marks, skin discoloration and thinning of the skin. Consult your doctor if any of the above side effects gets worse.

    Uses Of FUSEE B CREAM

    It is used to manage:

    • impetigo
    • folliculitis
    • eczema
    • seborrehic dermatitis

    How FUSEE B CREAM Works

    FUSEE B CREAM is a combination of Beclomethasone and Fusidic acid. Beclomethasone belongs to corticosteroid which works by reducing the inflammation and relieves symptoms like itching, redness, irritation and swelling by blocking the enzymes responsible for causing it (prostaglandins and leukotrienes). Fusidic acid manages the further growth of bacteria rather than directly destroying the bacteria. It also works by blocking protein synthesis of the bacteria. Thus, destroying the bacterial growth and further spreading of infection.

    How to use FUSEE B CREAM

    Apply FUSEE B CREAM as directed by your physician. It is for external use only. Apply a thin layer of this medicine on the affected area and rub gently on the affected area. Do not use FUSEE B CREAM on your face or eyes. Your doctor will prescribe the right dose depends on your age, body weight and severity of infection.

    Side Effects Of FUSEE B CREAM

    Common

    • itching, skin rash
    • stretch marks
    • skin discoloration
    • thinning of the skin

    Uncommon

    • burning sensation
    • dry skin, skin redness
    • fluid filled blisters with pain
    • irritation, swelling in affected area
    • worsening of skin disease

    Rare

    • widening of blood vessels
    • hives

    Stop using FUSEE B CREAM and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:

    • severe allergic reaction symptoms include red, lumpy skin rash, swelling of the lips, throat or tongue, face, mouth, lips or eyelids, fever, feeling faint difficulty in swallowing or breathing
    • worsening of skin infections symptoms include increased itching, redness, swelling
    • adrenal effects such as fatigue, increased urination, and thirst, abnormal sugar levels, weakness, weight loss
    • glaucoma (eye disorder) sings may be blurred vision, severe eye pain, head pain, nausea, vomiting, sudden sight loss

    Breastfeeding

    Allergy

    Others

    FUSEE B CREAM is not recommended for use if you:

    • have fungal infections (athlete’s foot, ringworm)
    • have viral infections such as cold sores, chicken pox
    • have bacterial infections such as boils or spots
    • have skin diseases caused by tuberculosis or syphilis
    • have perioral dermatitis
    • have rosacea (redness and inflammation in nose and cheeks)
    • have other rashes where you received vaccination

    Interactions

    A. Drug-Drug interactions:

    Before using FUSEE B CREAM inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicine:

    • medicines containing steroids which are used in the management of inflammation (Ex. prednisolone, budesonide)

    Overdosage:

    If you or anyone else accidentally applies more of FUSEE B CREAM, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital.

    A: Long term over usage of this medicine may cause some systemic effects such as suppression of pituitary adrenal function, resulting in secondary adrenal insufficiency. Consult your doctor for advice.

    Q: I already have a skin infection can I use FUSEE B CREAM along with my regular medications to manage the infection?

    A: No, do not use FUSEE B CREAM without consulting your doctor. Avoid using it for other infections as it may cause other serious effects.

    Q: What should I do if I accidentally applied FUSEE B CREAM on my eyes?

    A: If you accidentally applied FUSEE B CREAM in your eye, wash it out with cold water. You may have stinging sensation in your eye. If you experience problems with your eyesight or soreness, contact your doctor immediately.  

    Q: What are the precautions to be taken while using FUSEE B CREAM?

    A: Do not use FUSEE B CREAM for a long time, continuously. Do not use a large amount of FUSEE B CREAM (follow your doctor’s instructions). Do not use FUSEE B CREAM on open wounds or nose or mouth.

    Q: Who should not use FUSEE B CREAM?

    A: FUSEE B CREAM is not recommended for use if you have skin infections like fungal infections, such as athlete’s foot, ringworm, viral infections such as cold sores, chicken pox, bacterial infections such as boils or spots, skin diseases caused by tuberculosis or syphilis, perioral dermatitis (red spotty rash near mouth or chin), rosacea (redness and inflammation in nose and cheeks) and other rashes where you received vaccination.
