    Introduction About FUNGICROS LOTION

    FUNGICROS LOTION contains Amorolfine, which belongs to the group of medicines called Topical Anti-fungals. It is used in the management of fungal infections of the skin such as tinea pedis, tinea cruris, tinea corporis, and tinea manuum. It is also used for managing cutaneous candidiasis and pityriasis versicolor.

    A fungal infection also called mycosis is caused by a fungus. Some fungal infections occur when an invading fungus takes over an area of the body and is too much for the immune system to handle. The symptoms of a fungal infection will depend on the type, but common symptoms include the following skin changes, including cracking or peeling skin and itching.

    FUNGICROS LOTION is generally not recommended for use in pregnant women unless considered clearly necessary. Consult your doctor before applying it.

    FUNGICROS LOTION is generally not recommended for use in breastfeeding women as it is not known if this medicine passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before applying it.

    FUNGICROS LOTION is generally not recommended for use in children. Consult your doctor before applying.

    Always wash your hands before and after applying the medicine. Avoid direct contact with the medicine. In case of direct contact, wash your eyes with water and seek medical attention.

    It is used to manage fungal infections such as:

    • Tinea pedis, tinea cruris, tinea corporis, tinea manuum
    • Cutaneous candidiasis and pityriasis versicolor

    FUNGICROS LOTION works against the fungi by inhibiting the biosynthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes. Therefore, leading to alternation in fungal cell membrane permeability and disruption of key fungal metabolic processes, causing cell death.

    How to use FUNGICROS LOTION

    Apply FUNGICROS LOTION as directed by your physician. It is for external use only. Wash your hands with soap and water before and after using FUNGICROS LOTION.

    Apply a thin layer of this medicine to the affected area and rub it gently into the skin. Avoid applying this medicine to the mouth and nostrils. Your doctor will give the right dose depending on your age, body weight, and severity of the infection.

    Side Effects Of FUNGICROS LOTION

    • Burning, itching, erythema (redness)
    • Skin dryness and scaling

    Stop applying FUNGICROS LOTION and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:

    • Allergic reactions such as swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, which results in difficulty breathing, and severe skin rashes

    Avoid hot showers because hot water can irritate the skin. Do not scratch the affected area. Use sunscreen and protective clothing when outdoors. Regularly use unscented moisturizers to soothe and hydrate the affected area. If the symptom does not improve, contact your doctor.
