Introduction About FUCIBET CREAM
FUCIBET CREAM is a combination of Betamethasone and Fusidic acid which belongs to the group of medicines called Corticosteroids and Antibiotic respectively. It is used to manage conditions where the skin is inflamed (eczema or dermatitis) and also infected by germs (bacteria).
Eczema is a group of conditions that make your skin inflamed or irritated. It is also called as atopic dermatitis. If there is no improvement after 7 days, consult your doctor for advice.
Before using this medicine inform your doctor if you have heart disease, liver disease, kidney disease. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctors before using this medicine.
The most common side effects are itching, dryness, redness, and burning sensation at the application site. Consult your doctor if any of the above side effects worsen or persists for a longer duration.

How FUCIBET CREAM Works
FUCIBET CREAM is a combination of Betamethasone and Fusidic Acid which manage skin infections. Betamethasone blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Fusidic acid stops bacterial growth by managing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.
How to use FUCIBET CREAM
Take FUCIBET CREAM as advised by your physician. It is for external use only. Check the label for directions before use. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
Side Effects Of FUCIBET CREAM
Common
- application site reactions (burning, irritation, itching and redness)
Uncommon
- itchy rash and skin inflammation
- worsening of eczema
- skin burning
- dry skin
- application site pain
- skin redness due to widening of the small blood vessels
Rare
- hives
- application site swelling, blisters

- allergic reaction symptoms such as shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, mouth, throat, eyelids, lips, tongue, severe rash

Pregnancy

Driving and Using Machines
FUCIBET CREAM will not have any effect on your ability to drive or use machines. Check with your doctor if you feel any side effect that may stop you from driving or using machinery.

Allergy
Do not use FUCIBET CREAM if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to Betamethasone or Fusidic acid or any other ingredients of this medicine.
Others
FUCIBET CREAM is not recommended for use if you have:
- athlete’s foot or ringworm
- cold sores or chickenpox
- boils or spots
- tuberculosis (TB) or syphilis
- perioral dermatitis
- acne rosacea
- infected dermatitis
- acne vulgaris
- open wounds or sensitive areas such as the nostrils, ears, lips or genitals
- skin ulcers, broken veins or acne, skin folds
Before using FUCIBET CREAM, inform your doctor if you have:
- blurred vision or other visual disturbances
- adrenal suppression symptoms such as tiredness, depression, and anxiety
- susceptible to infections
Use in pediatrics:
There is no proper information regarding the use of this medicine in children. Consult your doctor before using.
Use in geriatrics:
FUCIBET CREAM should be used with caution in elderly patients. Consult your doctor before using.
Interactions
