    Introduction About FLUSNIG 10 TABLET

    FLUSNIG 10 TABLET contains Flunarizine, which belongs to the group of medicines called Calcium Channel blockers. It is used to manage migraine. A migraine is a recurring type of headache that causes throbbing or pulsating pain that can be moderate to severe. This generally involves one side of your head. The most common symptoms include nausea, weakness and sensitivity to light and sound.

    FLUSNIG 10 TABLET is not recommended for patients having depressive illness or a history of recurrent depression and Parkinson’s disease. FLUSNIG 10 TABLET should not be taken by pregnant and breastfeeding women and children. FLUSNIG 10 TABLET should be used with caution by the elderly. Consult your doctor for advice.

    The most common side-effects of FLUSNIG 10 TABLET are an increase in body weight and appetite, a blocked or runny nose, feeling low or depressed, problems with sleeping, nausea, constipation, stomach pain, muscle aches, painful breasts, menstrual problems, and feeling tired. Consult your doctor if any of your symptoms get worse or persist.

    FLUSNIG 10 TABLET effectively helps in the management of migraine by management of narrowing of blood vessels.

    How to use FLUSNIG 10 TABLET

    Take FLUSNIG 10 TABLET as advised by your doctor. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.

    Side Effects Of FLUSNIG 10 TABLET

    Common

    • increase in body weight
    • increased appetite
    • blocked or runny nose
    • feeling low or depressed
    • problems with sleeping or feeling sleepy
    • nausea
    • constipation
    • stomach pain or other digestive problems

    Uncommon

    • feeling uninterested, anxious, restless, weak, or lacking energy
    • feeling of disorientation

    • twitching of muscles or spasms, twisted neck
    • swollen breasts
    • unusually heavy or scanty periods
    • lack of sex drive
    • swelling involving hands, legs, feet, or other parts of the body
    • dry mouth
    • excessive sweating
    • allergic reaction, skin rash
    • flushing, hives

    Rare

    Stop taking FLUSNIG 10 TABLET and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side-effects:

    • numbness or tingling sensation in the hands or feet
    • buzzing, whistling, hissing, or ringing noise in the ears

    How To Manage Side Effects

    Nausea:

    Take this medicine with, or just after meals. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oily or spicy foods. Consult your doctor immediately if your symptom gets worse or persist.

    Vomiting:

    Drink clear or ice-cold drinks, eat light, bland foods and avoid fried, oily or sweet foods. Consult your doctor immediately if your symptom gets worse or persist.

    Constipation:

    Eat plenty of fiber-rich foods such as fresh fruits, vegetables, and cereals and drink plenty of water. Exercise more regularly. Consult your doctor immediately if your symptom gets worse or persist.

    Stomach pain:

    Try to rest and relax. Eat and drink slowly or try to have smaller and more frequent meals. Keep a heating pad on your stomach. If the symptom does not improve, contact your doctor.

    Pregnancy

    FLUSNIG 10 TABLET is generally not recommended for use by pregnant women. Consult your doctor before taking it.

    Breastfeeding

    FLUSNIG 10 TABLET is generally not recommended for use by breastfeeding mothers as it may pass through the milk. Consult your doctor before taking it.

    Driving and Using Machines

    Do not drive or operate any machines if you feel drowsy after taking FLUSNIG 10 TABLET.

    Alcohol

    Avoid alcohol consumption while taking FLUSNIG 10 TABLET as it can make you feel drowsy.

    Allergy

    Do not take FLUSNIG 10 TABLET if you are allergic to Flunarizine.

    Others

    FLUSNIG 10 TABLET is not recommended for use if you:

    • have depressive illness
    • are history of recurrent depression
    • have Parkinson’s disease

    Before taking FLUSNIG 10 TABLET, inform your doctor if you:

    • have tiredness
    • have lactose intolerance

    Use in pediatrics:

    Interactions

    A. Drug–Drug Interactions:

    Before taking FLUSNIG 10 TABLET, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following:

    • medicines used to manage anxiety (Ex. tranquilizers)
    • oral contraceptive pills
    • medicines used to manage high blood pressure (Ex. ramipril, azilsartan, amlodipine, verapamil)

    Overdosage:

    If you or anyone else accidentally take too much of FLUSNIG 10 TABLET, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital.
