Introduction About FLOMEX N EYE DROPS
FLOMEX N EYE DROPS contains Fluorometholone and Neomycin which belongs to the group of medicines called Corticosteroids and Antibiotics respectively. It is used to manage conjunctivitis caused by organisms sensitive to neomycin and bacterial infections that affect the front eye. This medicine is also used in the removal of something from the eye, and before or after a surgery where there is possibility of an infection with susceptible.
Conjunctivitis is an inflammation or infection of the outer membrane of the eyeball and the inner eyelid which is generally characterized by symptoms such as redness, itching and gritty sensation in eye.
Remove the contact lenses before using FLOMEX N EYE DROPS and put them back after 15 minutes of use. Your doctor might ask you to get regular eye check-ups while using this medicine.
FLOMEX N EYE DROPS is not recommended for use in patients allergic to Fluorometholone and Neomycin, and in patients having an eye infection with pus, active fungal or viral eye infection, tuberculosis of the eye, and glaucoma.
Before using FLOMEX N EYE DROPS, inform your doctor if you have blurred vision or other visual disturbances.
FLOMEX N EYE DROPS is not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women. FLOMEX N EYE DROPS is not recommended for use in children (below 2 years). It should be used with caution in children and adolescents (from 2 to 18 years) after consulting the doctor.
The most common side effect of using FLOMEX N EYE DROPS is an increased pressure inside your eye which should be consulted with your doctor if the symptom worsens.

How FLOMEX N EYE DROPS Works
FLOMEX N EYE DROPS helps in the management of conjunctivitis, where Fluorometholone is a Corticosteroid which acts on the mediators that causes redness and swelling and blocks their action thus, relieving the inflammation, and Neomycin is an Aminoglycoside antibiotic which acts on the bacteria and interferes with the cycle responsible for their living hence, destroying the bacteria and managing the infection caused by them.
How to use FLOMEX N EYE DROPS
Use FLOMEX N EYE DROPS as advised by your doctor. It is for ophthalmic use only. Instil FLOMEX N EYE DROPS into the affected eye as advised by your physician. Do not touch the dropper tip to your eye surface.
Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, disease condition and body weight.

Driving and Using Machines
Do not drive or operate any machines if you experience blurred vision after using FLOMEX N EYE DROPS.
Allergy
Do not use FLOMEX N EYE DROPS if you are allergic to Fluorometholone or Neomycin or any of its ingredients.
Others
FLOMEX N EYE DROPS is not recommended for use if you:
- have an eye infection (with pus)
- have an active viral or fungal infection of the eye
- have ocular tuberculosis (tuberculosis of the eye)
- have glaucoma
Before using FLOMEX N EYE DROPS inform your doctor if you:
- have blurred vision or any other visual disturbances
Use in pediatrics:
FLOMEX N EYE DROPS is not recommended for use in children below 2 years as the safety and efficacy of FLOMEX N EYE DROPS has not been established in them. Consult your doctor before using the medicine.

A. Drug–Drug Interaction:
Before using FLOMEX N EYE DROPS, inform your doctor, if you are taking any of the following medicine:
- ritonavir (medicine used to manage HIV)
Overdosage:
If you accidentally use too much of FLOMEX N EYE DROPS, flush your eyes with water or saline solution, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital.

Yes. FLOMEX N EYE DROPS may cause blurred vision. Therefore, it is advised not to drive or use any machines after using FLOMEX N EYE DROPS if you feel visual disturbances. Talk to your doctor if the symptom worsens.
