    Introduction About FERED XT TABLET

Feronia XT Tablet is an iron supplement which helps in managing iron deficiency anaemia. It contains Ferrous Ascorbate and Folic Acid as active ingredients which help in increasing the absorption of iron and formation of new red blood cells hence, improving haemoglobin levels.

Ferrous ascorbate is a combination of ascorbic acid and iron which increases the iron available for the production of red blood cells. Ascorbic acid inhibits the conversion of ferrous to ferric and also helps in increasing the absorption of iron, decreases the amount of free radicals and minimizes gastrointestinal irritation.

Take Feronia XT Tablet as advised by your doctor. It should be swallowed with water. Do not crush or chew the tablets. Take one tablet everyday. The dose can be increased to twice daily as per the requirement. Patients having iron overload, hemosiderosis, hemochromatosis (iron is absorbed in larger amounts), hemolytic anaemia (low red blood cells) should not take Feronia XT Tablet. It should be used with caution in patients having peptic ulcer, regional enteritis and ulcerative colitis. Consult your doctor if you experience any allergic reactions while taking this medicine.
