    Introduction About DROXIB SYRUP

DROXIB SYRUP contains Cefadroxil which belongs to the group of medicines called Cephalosporin antibiotics. It is used in children to manage bacterial infections of the throat and upper part of the respiratory tract, skin and soft tissues, and the urinary tract. A bacterial infection can be defined as a proliferation of various harmful strains of bacteria in the body. They can affect any part(s) of the body including the respiratory tract, urinary tract, eyes, ears, skin, soft tissue, or bones. DROXIB SYRUP is typically used in young children who weigh less than 40 kg.

DROXIB SYRUP must be taken with meals to avoid unwanted gastrointestinal side effects. Your doctor will decide the suitable dose for your child depending upon their age, body weight and severity of the infection.

Make sure that your child does not miss a dose of DROXIB SYRUP, as it may lead to growth of harmful bacteria within their body which cannot be further controlled by DROXIB SYRUP.

DROXIB SYRUP should not be used if your child is allergic to penicillin antibiotics (such as amoxicillin, ampicillin) or has severe kidney impairment. It is also important to inform your doctor if your child is going to undergo any blood test or urine test while undergoing therapy with DROXIB SYRUP.
