    Introduction About DIPODEM 200MG TABLET

DIPODEM 200MG TABLET contains Coumarin, chemically 5, 6 Benzo-alpha-pyrone, which is an Immunostimulant Anti-Inflammatory Drug. Dipodem tablet reduces swelling and promotes healing. Dipodem effectively reduces swelling through proteolysis and phagocytosis. Dipodem restores lymphatic function and accelerates wound healing. Dipopem offers better results as compared to proteolytic enzyme preparations. Dipodem is used for swelling related to lymphatic blockage, deep vein thrombosis, elephantiasis, cellulitis, diabetic foot or due to unknown origin.

It is highly prescribed in cases such as sprains, bruises, injuries, contusions, fractures, post-operative oedema, dental extractions, post-surgery, acute and sub-acute lymphangitis, and chronic venous sufficiency.

Studies have shown that Coumarin (5, 6 Benzo-alpha-pyrone) has been proven to reduce lymphedema and edema associated with elephantiasis (filariasis), and swelling due to unknown origin.

Take DIPODEM 200MG TABLET as advised by your physician. One tablet twice daily. Strictly follow the dosing schedule as suggested by your physician to achieve better results. Do not use this medicine for prolonged periods without medical supervision, as it could increase the risk of liver damage.

Before taking DIPODEM 200MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you have any liver or kidney problems. Do not take DIPODEM 200MG TABLET if you are allergic to Coumarin. Inform your doctor before taking DIPODEM 200MG TABLET if you are pregnant or breastfeeding as a precaution.

    How DIPODEM 200MG TABLET Works

DIPODEM 200MG TABLET contains coumarin (5, 6 Benzo-alpha-pyrone) which is a powerful anti-inflammatory and immune-boosting medicine. It reduces oedema (swelling) caused by excess protein by increasing the number of macrophages (a type of immune cell (WBC) that is involved in engulfing and digesting foreign particles, debris, and pathogens in the body) and by causing the breakdown of excess proteins (proteolysis). Additionally, it also stops chronic inflammation, fibrosis, and bacterial growth caused by excess protein.

How to use DIPODEM 200MG TABLET

Take DIPODEM 200MG TABLET as advised by your physician. One tablet twice daily. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Do not exceed the recommended daily dosages. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you based on your age, body weight, and health condition.

Side Effects Of DIPODEM 200MG TABLET

There are limited studies regarding the safety of Coumarin (5, 6 Benzo-alpha-pyrone) in humans. Available studies suggest that it is safe and well tolerated with mild nausea and diarrhea during the initial days of the therapy, which typically disappears after the first month of therapy.

    How To Manage Side Effects

    Diarrhea

To manage diarrhea, it's crucial to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of clear fluids such as water, broth, or electrolyte solutions to replace lost fluids and electrolytes. Avoiding dairy products, caffeine, alcohol, and fatty or spicy foods can help reduce irritation to the digestive system. Eating small, bland meals such as bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast (BRAT diet) may also help firm up stools. Consult your doctor if your symptoms persist or did not improve.

    Nausea And Vomiting

Eating small, bland meals throughout the day and staying hydrated can help alleviate symptoms. Ginger, either in tea form or as a supplement, may also provide relief. Avoiding lying down immediately after eating and practicing relaxation techniques such as deep breathing or meditation can help reduce nausea. Over-the-counter medications may be used if symptoms persist, but it's essential to consult a doctor before taking any medication, especially if nausea is severe or persistent.
