- fast, slow or uneven heart rate
- signs of heart failure (such as shortness of breath with chest pain and swollen ankles)
- unusual body movements, facial muscle spasms, rolling eyes, feeling shaky
- signs of liver problems (fever, tiredness, loss of appetite, stomach pain, nausea)
- signs of high blood sugar levels (such as excessive thirst, passing more urine than normal and dryness of skin or mouth)
- skin sensitivity towards sunlight
- breast enlargement in men
How To Manage Side Effects
Nausea:
Take DILZEM CD 90MG(L) with or just after a meal or a snack. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating rich or spicy food. Consult your doctor if your nausea worsens.
Dizziness:
Try to rest and relax. Get enough sleep. Avoid driving or operating any tools or machines completely while you are feeling dizzy. Do not consume excessive alcohol, as it could aggravate your dizziness. Consult your doctor if your dizziness worsens.
Headache:

Constipation:

Pregnancy
DILZEM CD 90MG(L) is not recommended for use in pregnant women and in women who think that they might be pregnant. Therefore, consult your doctor before taking it.

Breastfeeding
DILZEM CD 90MG(L) may pass through breast milk. Therefore, it is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women. However, consult your doctor for advice.

Driving and Using Machines
Do not drive or operate any heavy tools or machines if you experience dizziness or tiredness after taking DILZEM CD 90MG(L).

Alcohol
Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking DILZEM CD 90MG(L) as it may make you feel dizzier.

Kidney
DILZEM CD 90MG(L) should be used with caution in patients with kidney problems. Therefore, consult your doctor before taking it.

Liver

Allergy

- medicines used to manage blood clots (Ex. aspirin, clopidogrel)
- iodinated contrast media (used during X-rays)
- theophylline (a medicine used to manage asthma)
- lithium (a medicine used to manage mental problems)
- benzodiazepines (medicines used to manage anxiety) Ex. midazolam, triazolam
- methylprednisolone (a steroid medicine used to manage allergies and inflammation)
- cilostazol (a medicine used to manage leg cramps)
- rifampicin (a medicine used to manage tuberculosis)
- cimetidine, ranitidine (medicines used for stomach ulcers)
B. Drug-Food Interactions:
Avoid drinking grapefruit juice while taking DILZEM CD 90MG(L) as it may increase the risk of side effects.
Overdosage:
