    Introduction About DIBOL TABLET

    DIBOL TABLET is a combination of Diclofenac and Tramadol which belongs to the group of medicines called Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and Opiate analgesics respectively. DIBOL TABLET is used in the management of pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Pain is an unpleasant sensation that occurs with tissue damage. It helps the body to react and manage further tissue damage. It can be short-term (acute) or long-term (chronic) and the perception of pain can differ from one person to other.

    Before taking DIBOL TABLET, inform your doctor if you have stomach ulcers, gastric bleeding, severe heart failure, high blood pressure, and liver or kidney disease. DIBOL TABLET is not recommended in pregnant women, children and adolescents below 12 years of age. Consult your doctor before taking. DIBOL TABLET is excreted into breast milk so it not recommended in breastfeeding women, but if deemed necessary you should stop breast-feeding during the management with DIBOL TABLET.

    It should be used with caution in elderly patients (above 65 years of age). Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking DIBOL TABLET because it might make you dizzier. The common side effects of DIBOL TABLET nausea, loss of appetite, vomiting, dizziness, indigestion, sleepiness, constipation, heartburn, stomach pain and dryness in the mouth. If any of these side effects become worsen, contact your doctor for advice.

    How DIBOL TABLET Works

    DIBOL TABLET contains Diclofenac and Tramadol. Diclofenac works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers, which are responsible for causing pain and inflammation. Tramadol acts on pain receptors present in the central nervous system which blocks the nerve signals responsible for pain. 

    How to use DIBOL TABLET

    Take DIBOL TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the right dose depends on your age, body weight and severity of the condition.

    Side Effects Of DIBOL TABLET

    Common

    • nausea, vomiting
    • loss of appetite
    • dizziness
    • indigestion
    • sleepiness
    • constipation
    • heartburn
    • stomach pain
    • dry mouth
    • raise in liver enzymes

    Uncommon

    • palpitations

    • fluid retention
    • wheezing, asthma

    Stop taking DIBOL TABLET and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:

    • swelling of the face and neck, difficulties breathing or drop of blood pressure and fainting

    How To Manage Side Effects

    Constipation

    Eat more fibre-rich foods like green leafy vegetables and fruits. Drink lot of water. Consult your doctor if the symptom does not improve.

    Nausea And Vomiting

    Take this medicine with, or just after meals. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oily or spicy foods.

    Driving and Using Machines

    Use with Caution

    Do not drive or operate any machines if you feel dizzy after taking DIBOL TABLET.

    Alcohol

    Contraindicated

    Consumption of alcohol is not recommended while taking DIBOL TABLET because it might make you dizzier.

    Kidney

    Consult your doctor

    DIBOL TABLET is not recommended in patients with kidney failure. It should be used with caution in patients with mild to moderate kidney problems. Consult your doctor for advice.

    Liver

    Consult your doctor

    DIBOL TABLET is not recommended in patients with liver failure. It should be used with caution in patients with mild to moderate liver problems. Consult your doctor for advice.

    Allergy

    Contraindicated

    Do not take DIBOL TABLET if you are allergic to Diclofenac, Tramadol, or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

    Lungs

    Use with Caution

    DIBOL TABLET should be used with caution in patients who have asthma and chronic pulmonary diseases. Consult your doctor for advice.

    Heart Disease

    Consult your doctor

    DIBOL TABLET is not recommended in patients with severe heart failure. It should be used with caution in patients with high blood pressure. Consult your doctor for advice.

    Use In Pediatrics

    Contraindicated

    DIBOL TABLET is not recommended for use in children and adolescents below 12 years of age. Consult your doctor before taking it.

    Use In Geriatrics

    Use with Caution

    Others

    DIBOL TABLET is not recommended for use if you:

    • have stomach ulcers
    • have gastric bleeding
    • are intolerant to some sugars
    • have epilepsy
    • have depression

    Before taking DIBOL TABLET, inform your doctor if you have:

    • rhinitis, nasal polyps
    • diabetes
    • SLE (Systemic Erythematosus Lupus)

    Interactions

    A. Drug-Drug interactions:

    Before taking DIBOL TABLET, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicine:

    • medicines used against infections. (Ex. ketoconazole, flucloxacillin, erythromycin)
    • medicine used to reduce cholesterol in the blood (Ex. cholestyramine)
    • HIV medications (Ex. indinavir, nelfinavir, ritonavir) 
    • medicines used to manage abnormal heart rhythms (Ex. quinidine)
    • medicine used in the management of depression or Parkinson’s disease (Ex. monoamine oxidase inhibitors)
    • antidepressants (Ex. amitriptyline)
    • blood pressure-lowering agents (Ex. hydrochlorothiazide)
    • medicines that affect the state of mind, used to help stop smoking (Ex. bupropion)
    • blood thinning medicines (Ex. warfarin)
    • painkillers (Ex. nimesulide, oxyphenbutazone)
    • medicine used to manage epilepsy or some types of pain (Ex. carbamazepine)
    • opioid-type pain relievers (Ex. buprenorphine, nalbuphine or pentazocine)

    Overdosage:

    If you or anyone else accidentally takes too much of DIBOL TABLET, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital. Symptoms may include headache, nausea, pain abdominal, vomiting, bleeding intestinal or stomach, drowsiness, excitation, diarrhoea, disorientation, rarely convulsions may occur.
