Type II diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease characterized by abnormally high levels of glucose in the blood. It is caused by inadequate production of a hormone called insulin (produced by the pancreas to metabolize glucose) in the body or by inadequate sensitivity of body cells to the actions of insulin.
Before starting management with DAPAFORD LN 5 TABLET, your doctor will assess your volume status and kidney function by conducting a blood test. DAPAFORD LN 5 TABLET should be used with caution in patients with liver disease, heart failure, and low blood pressure. Consult your doctor before taking it.

How DAPAFORD LN 5 TABLET Works
DAPAFORD LN 5 TABLET effectively controls blood glucose levels, where dapagliflozin works by inhibiting sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 protein in the kidneys and managing the reabsorption of glucose from the blood into the kidneys. As a result, more glucose is excreted in urine, which helps lower blood glucose levels in the body.
Linagliptin works by inhibiting the dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) enzyme (a protein that helps to degrade incretin hormones) and thus increasing the concentrations of incretin hormones, stimulating the release of insulin in a glucose-dependent manner, decreasing the levels of glucagon, and reducing glucose production in the liver.
How to use DAPAFORD LN 5 TABLET
Take DAPAFORD LN 5 TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending on your age, body weight, and disease condition.
