    Introduction About DAKTARIN 2% GEL

    Daktarin Gel is an Antifungal, used to manage fungal skin infections on the hands, feet, outer ear, trunk or groin and includes athlete’s foot, jock itch, pityriasis (tinea versicolor) and intertrigo. Daktarin Gel is also effective against infected nappy rash. It contains Miconazole as an active ingredient.

    Miconazole is an Antifungal, which works by destroying the growth of fungus that causes infection. It also has moisturising properties to help soothe cracked, red skin.

    Always apply Daktarin Gel as advised by your physician. It is for External use only. Apply a thin layer of Daktarin Gel on the affected area of the skin twice daily. Wash your hands after applying to avoid spreading infection. Avoid contact with the eyes.

    • Apply the cream twice daily onto the infected area and surrounding skin
    • Wash your hands carefully after applying the cream to avoid spreading the infection to other parts of the body or to other people
    • Avoid contact with the eyes
    • Do not use if you are allergic to any of its components
    • Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before applying Daktarin Gel
    • Inform your physician if you have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription, vitamin supplements or herbal products

Fabric (clothing, bedding, dressings, etc) that has been in contact with this product burns more easily and is a serious fire hazard. Washing clothing and bedding may reduce product build-up but not totally remove it.

    Can I stop using Daktarin Gel when my symptoms improve?

    Always apply Daktarin Gel as advised by your physician. Continue management until the lesions have completely healed. Otherwise, your symptoms may return.

    How long can I use Daktarin Gel?

    The duration of therapy varies from 2 to 6 weeks depending on the localisation and severity of the lesion. Management should continue for at least one week after the disappearance of all signs and symptoms.

    What if I forget to use Daktarin Gel?

    If you forget to use a dose, use the next dose when needed. Do not use a double dose.
