    Introduction About CREMAFFIN PLUS SF SYRUP

    CREMAFFIN PLUS SF SYRUP is a combination of Liquid Paraffin, Milk of Magnesia and Sodium Picosulphate which belongs to the group of medicines called Laxatives and Antacids respectively. It is indicated for short term management of constipation associated with piles, anal fissure, cardiovascular disorder, hernia, pre and post- operative condition, endoscopy, for bowel clearance before radioscopy. It also relieves sour stomach and heartburn.

    Before starting the management with CREMAFFIN PLUS SF SYRUP, your doctor might ask you to take some diagnostic tests. CREMAFFIN PLUS SF SYRUP is not recommended for use in patients having kidney diseases, intestinal obstructions and undiagnosed abdominal pain. CREMAFFIN PLUS SF SYRUP should be used with caution in pregnant and breast-feeding women. Consult with your doctor before taking. CREMAFFIN PLUS SF SYRUP is not recommended for use in children.

    The most common side effects of using CREMAFFIN PLUS SF SYRUP are diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, muscle weakness, very dry mouth, extreme thirst, rectal bleeding, abdominal cramps, dizziness, and gastrointestinal disturbances. Consult your doctor if any of the above side effects worsen or persists for a longer duration.

    How CREMAFFIN PLUS SF SYRUP Works

    CREMAFFIN PLUS SF SYRUP helps in managing constipation and relieving acidity where Liquid paraffin softens the stools and aids the smooth evacuation out of the bowel. It also eases the pain which is associated with the evacuation of stools. Milk of magnesia causes the stomach acid to neutralise and acts as laxative by drawing in more water into the intestines which softens the stools and increases its volume as well. Sodium picosulphate is activated by the bacteria present in the digestive tract. It increases the accumulation of water in the intestine and also increases the movements of intestine. This increased movements leads to feeling of fullness and creates an urge to pass stools.

    Nausea And Vomiting

    Take this medicine with, or just after meals. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating rich or spicy food. Ask for your doctor’s advice if nausea doesn’t improve. Drink clear or ice-cold drinks, eat light, bland foods and avoid fried, oily, or sweet foods. Ask for your doctor’s advice if nausea or vomiting doesn’t improve.
