    Introduction About COZYMIN DROPS

COZYMIN DROPS is a combination of Chlorpheniramine, Paracetamol and Phenylephrine which belongs to the group of medicines called Antihistamines, Analgesics and Nasal decongestants respectively. It is used to relieve the symptoms of allergic rhinitis (hay fever), common cold, other upper respiratory allergies, like headache, facial congestion and pressure, nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, minor aches and pains, itching of the nose, throat, or eyes, and watery eyes. It can also be used as an adjunct with antibiotics in sinusitis (inflammation of cavities around your nose), tonsillitis (inflammation of tonsils), and otitis media (inflammation inside the middle ear). Hay fever is a seasonal allergy that occurs in response to specific allergens like pollens, present at certain times of the year (spring or fall) and causes more short-term symptoms.

COZYMIN DROPS is not recommended for use in children (aged less than 2 months). Consult your doctor for advice. Before taking COZYMIN DROPS, inform your doctor if you have any kidney, liver, heart, thyroid, or lung problems, diabetes, or glaucoma. Consult your doctor for advice. COZYMIN DROPS should be used with caution in pregnant and breastfeeding women, so consult your doctor before taking it.

The most common side effects of taking COZYMIN DROPS are vomiting, nausea, allergic reaction, sleepiness, and headache. Contact your doctor if any of the above side effects worsen.

    • to relieve the symptoms of allergic rhinitis, common cold, or other upper respiratory allergies
    • as an adjunct with antibiotics in sinusitis, tonsillitis and otitis media

    How COZYMIN DROPS Works

COZYMIN DROPS relieves upper respiratory symptoms where Chlorpheniramine binds to the histamine H1 receptor and blocks its action, resulting in temporary relief of the negative symptoms (runny nose, sneezing, watery and itchy eyes) brought on by histamine. Paracetamol relieves pain by elevation of the pain threshold and reduces fever by acting on the on the heat-regulating centre in your brain. Phenylephrine constricts blood vessels and reduces the blood flow to certain areas, thus decreasing swelling and allowing nasal and respiratory passages to open up.
