It is also used to manage collagen diseases (autoimmune disease), dermatologic diseases, ophthalmic diseases, gastrointestinal diseases, respiratory diseases, and neoplastic diseases. The medicine is also indicated for use to replace insufficient corticosteroid hormone and manage edematous and allergic states and medical emergencies (such as shock or severe allergic reactions) in affected individuals.
CORT S 100MG INJECTION is not recommended for use in patients allergic to hydrocortisone. It is also not recommended for use in patients with systemic fungal infections, viral infections (such as herpes simplex eye infection, vaccinia, varicella), and idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (a blood disorder marked by low platelet levels). The medicine is also not indicated for use in patients who have recently received live-attenuated vaccines.
