Introduction About COLLINTUS BM SYRUP
COLLINTUS BM SYRUP is a combination of Bromhexine and Terbutaline which belongs to the group of medicines called Mucolytics and Bronchodilator respectively. COLLINTUS BM SYRUP is used in the management of productive cough associated with bronchial asthma, acute and chronic bronchitis and other bronchopulmonary disorders where bronchospasm, mucous plugging and problems of expectoration co-exist.
Before taking COLLINTUS BM SYRUP, inform your doctor if you have or have ever had a stomach ulcer or if you are taking any other medicines like antibiotics. COLLINTUS BM SYRUP should be used with caution in pregnant women, breastfeeding women, and elderly. Consult your doctor for advice.
COLLINTUS BM SYRUP is recommended only in children above 2 years of age. The common side effects of COLLINTUS BM SYRUP feeling sick (nausea) or being sick (vomiting), pain in the upper part of your abdomen, diarrhoea. Consult your doctor immediately if you feel any of these side effects worsen or persists for a longer duration.

COLLINTUS BM SYRUP is a combination of Bromhexine and Terbutaline medicine. Bromhexine is a mucolytic (agents that break down mucus present making it loose and thin) that it easier to cough out. Terbutaline is a bronchodilator which relaxes muscles in the airways, widens the airways and eases the symptoms.

Take COLLINTUS BM SYRUP as advised by your physician. Shake well before use. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.

- uncontrollable shaking

- difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep
- weakness
- sweating
- feel tightness of your chest
- signs of pruritus
How To Manage Side Effects
Diarrhea
Drink lots of fluids, such as water or fruit juice to keep yourself hydrated. Do not consume any medicine on your own without consulting your doctor.
Nausea And Vomiting
Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating rich or spicy food. Consult your doctor if the symptom gets worse.
Stomach Pain
Try to rest and relax. Eat and drink slowly or try to have smaller and frequent meals. Keep a heat pad on your stomach. If the symptom does not improve, contact your doctor.

A. Drug-Drug interactions:
Before taking COLLINTUS BM SYRUP, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicine:
- antibiotics used to manage infections. (Ex. ampicillin, amoxicillin, erythromycin or oxytetracycline)
Overdosage:
If you or anyone else accidentally takes too much of COLLINTUS BM SYRUP, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital. Symptoms of overdose are abdominal pain, agitation, palpitations (being of your heartbeat), seizures/fits, hypertension, hypotension (fainting) tachycardia (increased heartbeat) nervousness, headache, tremor, dry mouth, nausea, dizziness, fatigue, malaise (weakness) and insomnia (sleeplessness).
