    Introduction About CLOTREX CREAM

CLOTREX CREAM contains Clotrimazole, which belongs to the group of medicines called Antifungals. It is used in the management of fungal skin infections such as ringworm (fungal infection of the skin or scalp), athlete’s foot (fungal infection between the toes), fungal nappy rash (skin rash affecting the nappy area), and fungal sweat rash. It also relieves irritation of the vulva (external thrush) or at the end of the penis, which may be associated with thrush.

Before applying CLOTREX CREAM, inform your doctor about your previous existing disease conditions. CLOTREX CREAM is not recommended for use in patients who are allergic to clotrimazole. Avoid smoking or going near flames and wearing fabrics that catch fire easily due to the increased risk of severe burns.

CLOTREX CREAM can be used in pregnant and breastfeeding women. Avoid using latex contraceptives (condoms or diaphragms), as this medicine may reduce the effectiveness of such contraceptives. Use alternative precautions for at least five days after using the medicine. Consult your doctor immediately if you experience any unusual effects.

    Uses Of CLOTREX CREAM

    • Manage fungal skin infections (such as ringworm, athlete’s foot, fungal nappy rash, and sweat rash)
    • Relieves irritation of the vulva or at the end of the penis (which may be associated with thrush)

    How CLOTREX CREAM Works

CLOTREX CREAM acts by specifically inhibiting the biosynthesis of ergosterol and other sterols (enzymes) required for cell membrane production; therefore, it inhibits the division and growth of fungi, eventually leading to cell death, which further manages fungal growth.

    How to use CLOTREX CREAM

Always apply CLOTREX CREAM as directed by your physician. It is for external use only. Clean and dry the affected surface before applying the medicine. Apply and rub gently a thin layer of this medicine on the affected area. Wash your hands before and after applying the medicine. Do not use CLOTREX CREAM on your face, eyes, or large area. Do not use under bandages or for a long time without consulting your doctor. Your doctor will decide the duration and time interval for application depending on the type of infection.
