Introduction About CLOCIP 1% EAR DROPS

CLOCIP 1% EAR DROPS contains Clotrimazole which belongs to the group of medicines called anti-fungals. It is used in the management of fungal infections of the outer and middle ear. Otomycosis is a fungal infection affecting the outer and middle region of the ear symptoms include hearing loss, itching, fluid drain and ear pain.

Clotrimazole works by managing the fungal growth by blocking production of enzymes responsible for the growth of fungal cell. Consult your doctor if the symptoms have not reduced within a week after using CLOCIP 1% EAR DROPS.

CLOCIP 1% EAR DROPS is not recommended for use in patients allergic to clotrimazole. CLOCIP 1% EAR DROPS should be used with caution in pregnant and breastfeeding women. Avoid using medicines containing antibiotics such as Framycetin phosphate and Gramicidin. Before taking CLOCIP 1% EAR DROPS inform your doctor about your existing and previous disease conditions. The common side effects of CLOCIP 1% EAR DROPS are itching, rash, blisters, burning, discomfort, swelling, irritation, pins and needles sensation, redness and peeling of skin.

These leads to fungal cell death and management of further fungal growth.

How to use CLOCIP 1% EAR DROPS

Always apply CLOCIP 1% EAR DROPS as directed by your physician. It is for external use only. Shake well before use. Avoid applying this medicine around your eyes, including eyelids and mouth. Wash your hands before and after applying CLOCIP 1% EAR DROPS. Do not use CLOCIP 1% EAR DROPS for a long time without consulting your doctor.
