Introduction About CLOBETAGEN F 0.05/2% CREAM
CLOBETAGEN F 0.05/2% CREAM is a combination of Clobetasol and Fusidic acid which belongs to the group of medicines called Corticosteroids and Antibiotics respectively. It is used to manage skin infections such as impetigo (crusty and swollen patch on the skin with pus), psoriasis (itching), eczema, or dermatitis. It can also be used to manage cuts and wounds which are infected.
Eczema or dermatitis is a term for several different types of skin swelling that cause dry, itchy skin and rashes on the face, elbows, behind the knees, and on the hands and feet.
During course of the management your doctor might regularly examine your skin to avoid any unwanted side effects.
Avoid smoking while using CLOBETAGEN F 0.05/2% CREAM. Consult your doctor before using the medicine.
CLOBETAGEN F 0.05/2% CREAM is not recommended for use in children (ages less than 1 year). Before using CLOBETAGEN F 0.05/2% CREAM, inform your doctor if you have skin conditions like acne, rosacea, perioral dermatitis, viral or fungal skin infections, blisters caused by any infection, or if you are using it on your child.
CLOBETAGEN F 0.05/2% CREAM should be used with caution in pregnant women. CLOBETAGEN F 0.05/2% CREAM is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women.
The most common side effect of using CLOBETAGEN F 0.05/2% CREAM is skin irritation. Contact your doctor if any of the side effects worsen.

CLOBETAGEN F 0.05/2% CREAM manages skin infection where Clobetasol induces certain proteins (lipocortins), that control the production of inflammatory mediators like prostaglandins and leukotrienes, thus controlling inflammation, and Fusidic acid works against the bacteria by interfering with their protein synthesis.
How to use CLOBETAGEN F 0.05/2% CREAM
Use CLOBETAGEN F 0.05/2% CREAM as directed by the physician. It is for external use only. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the medicine. Check the label for directions before use. Your doctor will decide the right dose depends on the age, body weight and disease condition.

Allergy

- have acne
- have rosacea
- have perioral dermatitis
- have itching around your anus or private parts
- have viral infections like cold sores, herpes, or chicken pox
- have fungal infections like ringworm, athletes foot, or thrush
- have skin blisters or sores
Before taking CLOBETAGEN F 0.05/2% CREAM, inform your doctor if you:
- are going to apply the medicine under an airtight dressing, like a child’s nappy
- have psoriasis

What if I accidently get CLOBETAGEN F 0.05/2% CREAM in my eye?
If you accidentally get CLOBETAGEN F 0.05/2% CREAM in your eye, immediately wash it out with cold water. Then wash your eye with eyewash if possible. You may feel stinging in your eye. If you begin to have any problems with your sight or your eye is hurting, contact your doctor immediately.
Can I stop using CLOBETAGEN F 0.05/2% CREAM?
Do not stop using CLOBETAGEN F 0.05/2% CREAM unless your doctor advises you to stop. If you have any more doubts regarding the use of this medicine, ask your doctor.
What if I forget to apply a dose of CLOBETAGEN F 0.05/2% CREAM?
If you forget to apply a dose of CLOBETAGEN F 0.05/2% CREAM, do it as soon as you remember. However, omit the missed dose if it is almost time for the next dose. Do not use the medicine twice to make up for a forgotten dose.
Can CLOBETAGEN F 0.05/2% CREAM be used on infants?
No. CLOBETAGEN F 0.05/2% CREAM is not recommended for children (below 1 year of age). Your doctor will decide the correct dose or select a suitable alternative therapy for your child.
