Introduction About CLOBAL GM CREAM
CLOBAL GM CREAM is a combination of Clobetasol propionate, Miconazole nitrate, and Gentamicin which belong to the groups of medicines called Topical Corticosteroids, Antifungals, and Aminoglycoside antibiotics, respectively. CLOBAL GM CREAM is used to manage inflammation, redness, and itching caused by skin conditions such as eczema, allergic reactions, dermatitis, rashes, and psoriasis.
It is also used to manage several autoimmune diseases, including vitiligo, alopecia areata, lichen planus, and lichen sclerosis. Inflammation is a process by which our body's white blood cells protect us from infection from outside invaders such as bacteria and viruses. It is characterised by symptoms such as redness, swelling, heat, and pain.
Itching is an uncomfortable, irritating sensation that creates an urge to scratch the involved site, which can involve any part of the body. Autoimmune disease is a condition that occurs when the body's immune system attacks the body's healthy cells. It is generally characterised by symptoms such as weakness, joint pain, swelling, and skin problems.
CLOBAL GM CREAM is not recommended for use in patients with skin problems such as acne, rosacea (severe flushing of the skin on and around your nose), perioral dermatitis (spotty red rash around your mouth), itching around the anus and genitals, infected or itchy skin, and widespread plaque psoriasis.
Before applying CLOBAL GM CREAM, inform your doctor if you have had previous bone symptoms (such as bone pain), a previous allergic reaction with another steroid, broken or damaged skin, a chronic leg ulcer, or psoriasis. CLOBAL GM CREAM should be used with caution during pregnancy and in women who are breastfeeding.
CLOBAL GM CREAM is not recommended for use in children (below 1 year) and should be used with caution in children (over 1 year) and adolescents (below 18 years) after consulting the doctor. The most common side effects of using CLOBAL GM CREAM are burning, pain, irritation, and/or itching at the application site. Consult your doctor if any of these symptoms get worse.

How CLOBAL GM CREAM Works
CLOBAL GM CREAM helps to manage skin conditions and several autoimmune diseases, where Clobetasol propionate manages inflammation by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen & itchy. Miconazole stops the growth of fungi on the skin by managing them from forming their protective covering that results in their destruction and gentamicin works by inhibiting the bacterial protein synthesis that results in bacterial cell destruction thereby managing the occurrence of bacterial infection.
How to use CLOBAL GM CREAM
Always apply CLOBAL GM CREAM, as directed by your physician. It is for external use only. On the affected area, apply a thin layer of this medicine. Managed areas on the face need not be covered with a plaster or bandage. Do not apply CLOBAL GM CREAM on your face beyond 5 days. Avoid applying CLOBAL GM CREAM around your eyes, including eyelids.
Side Effects Of CLOBAL GM CREAM
Common
- burning, pain, irritation or itching sensation at the site of application
Uncommon
- signs of stretch marks such as skin thinning
- noticeable blood vessels under the surface of the skin
Rare
Stop applying CLOBAL GM CREAM and contact your doctor if you experience any of the following side effects:
- signs of allergic reaction and infection such as generalized rash, red itchy skin, swollen skin, severe irritation, reddening/blistering of the skin
- psoriasis (itchy skin) with raised bumps filled with pus under the skin
- swelling of the face, tongue/throat, difficulty swallowing or difficulty breathing
- irritation
- sensitization/superinfection
How To Manage Side Effects
Skin rash Or Itching
Avoid scratching your skin. Cool your skin by holding onto a damp towel. Try to have cool or warm baths. Wear loose clothing and do not wear tight clothes. Try to avoid applying perfumed soaps, deodorants or moisturizers and always use unperfumed moisturizers.

Pregnancy
Use with CautionCLOBAL GM CREAM should be used with caution during pregnancy and in women planning to become pregnant. Consult your doctor before applying for the medicine.
Breastfeeding
Use with CautionCLOBAL GM CREAM should be used with caution in breastfeeding women. It is advised not to be applied on the breast area while feeding the baby. Consult your doctor before applying for the medicine.
Driving and Using Machines
Use with CautionCLOBAL GM CREAM is unlikely to affect your ability to drive or operate machines. Consult your doctor before applying for the medicine.
Allergy

Use In Pediatrics

Use In Geriatrics

Others
CLOBAL GM CREAM is not recommended for use if you:
- have skin problems such as acne (pimples), rosacea (severe flushing of skin on and around your nose), perioral dermatitis (spotty red rash around your mouth), itching around your anus or genitals, infected skin (unless the infection is being managed with an anti-infective medicine at the same time), itchy skin (which is not inflamed), widespread plaque psoriasis (except single lesions)
Before applying CLOBAL GM CREAM, inform your doctor if you:
- had previous bone symptoms such as bone pain, swelling and tenderness near the affected area, weakened bone
- had previously had an allergic reaction to another steroid
- are planning to apply the cream under an airtight dressing including a child’s nappy
- have broken/damaged skin or within skin folds
- have a large surface area to apply for medicine
- have psoriasis (itchy skin)
- have a chronic leg ulcer
Interactions
A. Drug-Drug Interactions:
Before applying CLOBAL GM CREAM, inform your doctor, if you are applying any of the following medicine:
- ritonavir (a medicine used to manage HIV infection)
- itraconazole (a medicine used to manage fungal infections)
- another corticosteroid (medicines used to manage swelling and inflammation from allergies) such as cortisone, hydrocortisone and prednisone
- anticoagulants (used to manage blood clots) such as warfarin
Overdosage:
If you or anyone else applies too much of CLOBAL GM CREAM or accidentally swallows it, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital.
