    Introduction About CLINVAN SOAP

    CLINVAN SOAP contains Clindamycin, which belongs to the group of medicines called Antibiotics. It is used in the management of acne vulgaris, moisturizes the skin and manages bacterial infection of the skin. Acne vulgaris is a common skin condition that occurs when hair follicles get blocked with oil and dead skin cells. Symptoms include whiteheads, blackheads, small red, tender bumps, pimples, and pus-filled lumps on the skin.

    Before using CLINVAN SOAP, inform your doctor if you have or ever had enteritis (inflammation of the small intestine), ulcerative colitis (inflammation of the large intestine) or a history of antibiotic-associated colitis. CLINVAN SOAP should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed. Consult your doctor before using it. It is not known whether.

    CLINVAN SOAP is excreted in human milk, so it should be used with caution by breastfeeding women considering the importance of CLINVAN SOAP to the mother. The safety and effectiveness of CLINVAN SOAP in children under the age of 12  and elderly patients have not been established. The most common side effects of using CLINVAN SOAP are dryness, scaling and peeling of the skin. Consult your doctor if symptoms worsen.

    How CLINVAN SOAP Works

    CLINVAN SOAP acts as an anti-inflammatory agent, acting against the bacteria by binding to the 50S subunit of the bacterial ribosome (site of protein synthesis). Which in turn manages protein synthesis and kills the infection-causing bacteria.

    How to use CLINVAN SOAP

    Use CLINVAN SOAP as directed by your physician. It is for external use only. Wash the surface with water. Gently rub it over the body till it lather. Massage the lather well to remove dirt, oil, and impurities in the skin. Wash it thoroughly with water and pat dry. Do not use near heat, near open flame, or while smoking. Continue to use it, as long as your doctor tells you to do so, to obtain better results. Your doctor will decide the right dose and duration for you depending on your age, body weight and disease condition.

    Side Effects Of CLINVAN SOAP

    Common

    • dryness, scaliness, or peeling of skin

    Rare

    • abdominal or stomach cramps, pain, and bloating (severe)
    • diarrhea (watery and severe), which may also be bloody
    • fever
    • increased thirst
    • nausea or vomiting
    • unusual tiredness or weakness
    • weight loss

    Stop using CLINVAN SOAP and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:

    • severe diarrhea
    • severe allergic reactions

    Pregnancy

    The safety and effectiveness of  CLINVAN SOAP in pregnant women or women planning to have a baby has not been established yet. It will be given to you by the doctor only if clearly needed. Consult your doctor before using CLINVAN SOAP.

    Breastfeeding

    The safety and effectiveness of  CLINVAN SOAP in breastfeeding women has not been established yet. Your doctor will decide whether to discontinue nursing or the medicine, considering the benefits to the mother and baby.

    Allergy

    Do not use CLINVAN SOAP if you are allergic to Clindamycin or any other ingredients of this medicine.

    Others

    Before using CLINVAN SOAP inform your doctor if you:

    • have regional enteritis (inflammation of the small intestine) or ulcerative colitis (inflammation of the large intestine)
    • have a history of antibiotic-associated colitis
