INTRODUCTION ABOUT CLINET 150MG CAPSULE
CLINET 150MG CAPSULE contains Clindamycin, which belongs to the group of medicines called Antibiotics. It is used to manage certain serious bacterial infections. Symptoms include fever, fatigue, headache, nausea, vomiting and swollen lymph nodes in the neck, armpits, groin or elsewhere.
Before taking CLINET 150MG CAPSULE, inform your doctor if you have or ever had problems with your stomach or intestines (bowel disease, diarrhea), hay fever, asthma, eczema, intolerance to certain sugars, kidney, and liver problems. CLINET 150MG CAPSULE should be used with caution in pregnant women. Consult your doctor before taking CLINET 150MG CAPSULE.
CLINET 150MG CAPSULE is generally not recommended for use in breastfeeding women. The most common side effects of taking CLINET 150MG CAPSULE are diarrhea, stomach pain and abnormal liver function tests. Consult your doctor if your symptoms get worse or persist.

HOW CLINET 150MG CAPSULE WORKS
CLINET 150MG CAPSULE acts against the bacteria by binding to the 50S subunit of the bacterial ribosome (site of protein synthesis). Which in turn manages protein synthesis and works against the infection-causing bacteria.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Take CLINET 150MG CAPSULE as advised by your physician. Swallow it with a full glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending on your age, body weight and disease condition.
SIDE EFFECTS OF CLINET 150MG CAPSULE
COMMON
- Diarrhea
- Stomach pain
UNCOMMON
- Vomiting
- Feeling sick
- Smooth skin rashes or redness covered with elevated bumps
- Hives
Stop taking CLINET 150MG CAPSULE and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
- Severe, continuous, bloody diarrhea (with stomach pain or fever). It can be a sign of serious bowel inflammation (pseudomembranous colitis).
- A severe allergic reaction such as sudden wheezing, difficulty in breathing, dizziness, swelling of the eyelids, face, lips, throat or tongue, rash, or itching (especially if affecting the entire body)
- Jaundice (yellowing of the skin and whites of the eyes)
- Skin rashes which can be severe or life-threatening:
- Stevens-Johnson syndrome (peeling of large areas of skin, especially around the mouth, nose, eyes, and genitals) and a more severe form (toxic epidermal necrolysis)
- The rapid appearance of areas of red skin with small pustules (blisters filled with white/yellow fluid) (Acute Generalized Exanthematous Pustulosis (AGEP))
- Widespread red skin rash with pus-containing blisters (exfoliative dermatitis bullous)
- Skin rash, which may blister (looks like central dark spots surrounded by a paler area, with a dark ring around the edge, known as erythema multiforme)
- Drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (fever, swollen lymph nodes or skin rash)
HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTS

Diarrhea
Drink lots of fluids, such as water or fruit juice to keep yourself hydrated. Do not consume any medicine on your own without consulting your doctor. Consult your doctor if your symptoms don't improve.

Stomach Pain
Try to rest and relax. Have smaller and more frequent meals. Keep a heating pad on your stomach. If the symptom does not improve, contact your doctor.

PREGNANCY
Use with CautionCLINET 150MG CAPSULE should be used with caution in pregnant women or women planning to have a baby as it crosses the placenta. It will be given to you by the doctor only if it's clearly necessary. Consult your doctor before taking CLINET 150MG CAPSULE.

BREASTFEEDING
ContraindicatedCLINET 150MG CAPSULE is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women as it may pass into breast milk. Consult your doctor before taking CLINET 150MG CAPSULE.

DRIVING AND USING MACHINES
Use with CautionCLINET 150MG CAPSULE does not affect your ability to drive or use machines.

KIDNEY
Use with CautionCLINET 150MG CAPSULE should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Your doctor will give the right dose depending on your age, body weight and disease condition. Consult your doctor before taking CLINET 150MG CAPSULE.

LIVER
Use with CautionCLINET 150MG CAPSULE should be used with caution in patients with severe liver problems. Your doctor will give the right dose depending on your age, body weight and disease condition. Consult your doctor before taking CLINET 150MG CAPSULE.

ALLERGY
ContraindicatedDo not take CLINET 150MG CAPSULE if you are allergic to Clindamycin or any other ingredients of this medicine.

- Have diarrhea or have ever suffered from problems with your stomach or intestines (bowel disease)

INTERACTIONS
A. Drug-Drug interactions:
Before taking CLINET 150MG CAPSULE, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicine:
- Erythromycin (an antibiotic used to manage infection)
- Warfarin (blood thinners)
- Muscle relaxants used for operations. (Ex. cyclobenzaprine)
Overdosage:
If you or anyone else accidentally takes too much CLINET 150MG CAPSULE, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital.
