Introduction About CITRO SYRUP
Citro Syrup is used to make urine alkaline in various conditions such as pyelitis, urethritis, cystitis and urolithiasis also during management with urinary tract infections with antibiotics and to overcome tendency of acute or chronic metabolic acidosis in acute infections and dehydration. It contains disodium hydrogen citrate as an active ingredient to aid in maintaining physiological alkalinity of blood and urine.
Disodium hydrogen citrate is a urinary alkalinizer which is used to make the urine alkaline and less acidic. It does so by getting metabolized into bicarbonates which results in the increase of pH. Hence, it increases the alkalinity of the urine. Also, it promotes mildly increased urination (diuresis).
Always take Citro Syrup as advised by the doctor. Use a measuring cup to properly measure the dose. Do not exceed the recommended daily dosage.
