Introduction About CITRO SODA SACHET
CITRO SODA SACHET contains Citric acid, Sodium citrate, Sodium bicarbonate and Tartaric acid which belongs to the group of medicines called Urinary alkalinizing agents and Antacids respectively. It is used in cases of temporary relief from minor gastric upsets, in combination with antibiotics, when the effectiveness of an antibiotic is increased in the presence of alkaline urine and in urinary conditions where alkaline urine will benefit and helps kidneys to get rid of uric acid in blood as well as removes kidney stones due to high uric acid.
This medicine is also used to manage kidney stones, uric acid in blood, urinary tract infections (painful and difficulty in urination). During management with CITRO SODA SACHET, the clinical condition of the patient should be assessed, and laboratory results (such as serum electrolytes, acid-base balance) should be collected periodically especially in patients with kidney diseases. CITRO SODA SACHET is not recommended for use in patients with kidney failure or increased sodium concentration in blood (hypernatremia) along with hexamine mandelate or hexamine Hippurate therapy (management for urinary infection) where acidic nature of urine is needed.
CITRO SODA SACHET should be taken with caution in patients with increased blood pressure, heart failure, decreased or loss of kidney function, swelling in legs (peripheral oedema), pulmonary oedema, high blood pressure during pregnancy (pre-eclampsia). The most common side effects of taking CITRO SODA SACHET are nausea, weakness, vomiting, diarrhoea and stomach pain. Consult your doctor if any of the side effects worsen or persists for a longer duration.

- medicine used to manage blocked nose (Ex. pseudoephedrine)
- medicine used to manage low blood pressure (Ex. ephedrine)
