Introduction About CITRALKA LIQUID
Citralka Liquid is used to make urine alkaline in various conditions such pyelitis, urethritis, cystitis and urolithiasis also during management with urinary tract infections with antibiotics and to overcome tendency of acute or chronic metabolic acidosis in acute infections and dehydration. It contains disodium hydrogen citrate as an active ingredient to aid in maintaining physiological alkalinity of blood and urine.
Disodium hydrogen citrate is a urinary alkalinizer which is used to make the urine alkaline and less acidic. It does so by getting metabolized into bicarbonates which results in the increase of pH. Hence, it increases the alkalinity of the urine. Also, it promotes mildly increased urination (diuresis).
Always take Citralka Liquid as advised by the doctor. Recommended dosage for adults is 30 ml (two tablespoonful) 4 times daily and for children 6 to 12 years is 10 or 15 ml (two or three tablespoonful) 3 to 4 times daily. It is to be taken with milk or water, adults may take it without dilution followed by liquid if preferred.
