Introduction About CINN D TABLET
CINN D TABLET is a combination of Cinnarizine and Domperidone which belongs to the group of medicines called Anti histamines and Anti-emetic agents. It is used to manage vertigo or meniere’s disease, nausea and vomiting due to motion sickness. It is also used for the management of vestibular disorders.
Cinnarizine is an antihistaminic and blocks the calcium channels, inhibiting smooth muscle contraction and improves microcirculation to inner ear and relieves vertigo or spinning sensation. Domperidone is a prokinetic agent that works on the upper digestive tract and increase the movement of food through stomach and intestine more quickly. It also works by blocking dopamine (a chemical which is responsible for feeling of nausea or vomiting) in the brain. Therefore, relieving vertigo associated with nausea and vomiting
Before taking CINN D TABLET inform your doctor if you have liver, kidney or heart disease. CINN D TABLET is generally not recommended for use in pregnant women unless considered clearly necessary. Contact your doctor before taking it. CINN D TABLET is generally not recommended for use in breastfeeding women as it may pass through the breast milk. Consult your doctor before taking it. CINN D TABLET is not recommended for use in children. Contact your doctor before taking. CINN D TABLET should be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years or above). Contact your doctor before taking. The most common side effects of this medicine are nausea, dryness in mouth, Indigestion, Sleepiness, and, Weight gain. Contact your doctor if any of the symptoms worsen.

How CINN D TABLET Works
CINN D TABLET helps to relieve vertigo associated with nausea and vomiting, where Cinnarizine works by blocking the calcium channels, inhibiting smooth muscle contraction and improves microcirculation to inner ear and domperidone is a prokinetic agent that works on the upper digestive tract and increase the movement of food through stomach and intestine more quickly. How to use CINN D TABLET
Take this medicine as advised by your physician. Swallow this medicine as whole with a glass of water and do not crush or chew the medicine.
Side Effects Of CINN D TABLET
Common
- nausea, dryness in mouth, Indigestion,
- sleepiness, drowsiness
- weight gain
Uncommon
- excessive sweating
- red or pinkish skin with patches of spots and a crust
- vomiting
- decreased sexual drive (libido) in men
- anxiety
- diarrhea
- headache
- itchy skin
- unusual production of breast milk in men and women
- painful or tender breasts
- feeling weak
Rare
- stomach upset
- galactorrhea or menstrual irregularities.
- gynecomastia (breast enlargement in men)
Stop taking CINN D TABLET and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
- allergic reactions such as a red, itchy rash, hives or swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat, difficulty breathing
How To Manage Side Effects

Indigestion
Eat smaller meals but take frequently. Eat and exercise regularly. Contact your doctor if the symptom does not improve.

Nausea And Vomiting
Take this medicine with, or just after meals. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oily or spicy foods.

Driving and Using Machines
Use with CautionDo not drive or operate machinery if you feel drowsy or sleepiness after taking CINN D TABLET.

Alcohol
Consult your doctorAvoid consumption of alcohol while taking CINN D TABLET because it might make you drowsy.

Kidney
Use with CautionCINN D TABLET should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Contact your doctor before taking

Liver
ContraindicatedCINN D TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with moderate to severe liver disease. Contact your doctor before taking.

Allergy
ContraindicatedDo not take CINN D TABLET if you are allergic to cinnarizine, domperidone, or to other ingredients of this medicine.

Heart Disease
ContraindicatedCINN D TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with heart diseases such as heart failure, heart rhythm disorders like prolonged QT interval. Contact your doctor before taking.
Others
CINN D TABLET is not recommended for use if you have:
- bleeding in the stomach or intestines symptoms such as black, tarry bowel stools or notice blood in your bowel motions.
- blockage or tear in intestines
- tumour of the pituitary gland (prolactinomas)
- low level of potassium or magnesium, or high level of potassium in blood
- Parkinson’s disease.
- GI haemorrhage, obstruction and perforation,
- excess prolactin releasing pituitary hormone
- for chronic administration or prophylaxis of post-operative nausea and vomiting
Before taking CINN D TABLET, inform your doctor if you have:
- hypotension,
- pheochromocytoma,
- hypokalaemia
Use in pediatrics:
CINN D TABLET is not recommended for use in children. Consult your doctor before taking.
Use in geriatrics:
CINN D TABLET should be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years or above). Contact your doctor before taking.
Interactions
A. Drug-Drug interactions:
Inform your physician, if you are using,
- digoxin (medicine used for heart failure)
- aspirin (medicine used to manage blood clots)
- paracetamol (medicine used to manage fever)
- diazepam (medicine used to manage anxiety)
- phenothiazines (medicines used to manage psychotic disorders)
- antimuscarinic agents Ex. atropine, hyoscamine (medicine used to manage overactive bladder syndrome, bradycardia etc.)
- opiods Ex. codeine (medicine used for severe pain)
- suxamethonium (medicine used in anaesthesia)
- medicines used to manage psychoses (haloperidol, pimozide, sertindole)
- citalopram, escitalopram (medicines used for depression)
Overdosage: If you or anyone else accidentally took too much of this medicine, consult your doctor immediately. Symptoms of Overdosage include nausea, stomach upset, drowsiness or sleepiness, unusual eye movements, tongue or uncontrollable muscle spasms, weakness, prolonged QT interval and seizures in young children.
