Introduction About CHYMOTRA SOLUTION
CHYMOTRA SOLUTION contains Minoxidil which belongs to the group of medicines called Vasodilators. It is used to manage hereditary hair loss (androgenic alopecia) on the head in men and women. Androgenic Alopecia affects the hair present in the crown and the front portion of the scalp. It is caused mainly due to hormonal imbalance and it is characterized by baldness and thinning of the hair. CHYMOTRA SOLUTION is used to manage only mild to moderate hair loss problems, not complete hair loss and helps to stimulate hair growth in such cases.
CHYMOTRA SOLUTION is not to be used in cases of the pattern of your hair loss differs from a receding hairline and crown balding, have no family history of hair loss, have total baldness or complete loss of all body hair, have inflamed, infected, irritated or painful scalp, have any condition that affects your scalp such as sunburn and psoriasis and are currently taking other medications that are being applied on the scalp. Consult your doctor for a proper physical examination of the scalp before using this medicine.
CHYMOTRA SOLUTION is not recommended for use in pregnant women or those who are planning to get pregnant, breastfeeding women, children less than 18 years of age as well as elderly individuals over 65 years of age.
The most common side effects of applying CHYMOTRA SOLUTION are headache, itching of the scalp, rash, burning sensation and excessive hair growth. Consult your doctor in case any of the side effects worsen or persist for long.

How CHYMOTRA SOLUTION Works
CHYMOTRA SOLUTION regrows hair and stabilizes hair loss in men with a receding hairline and head balding by the revitalization of hair follicles. Revitalization of hair follicles is by CHYMOTRA SOLUTION vasodilatory action that helps to increase the blood flow when applied to the scalp. This increased blood flow helps to provide more nutrition and oxygen to the hair follicles thus managing hair cell death and enhancing new hair growth.
How to use CHYMOTRA SOLUTION
Always use CHYMOTRA SOLUTION as directed by your physician. It is for external use only. This medicine is for use on the normal healthy scalp only. Apply CHYMOTRA SOLUTION directly on dry scalp and hair. Do not use it on inflamed, infected, irritated or painful scalp skin. Do not apply to any other parts of the body. Avoid contact with your eyes. Your doctor will decide the required dose and duration of CHYMOTRA SOLUTION for you as per your age and disease condition.
Side Effects Of CHYMOTRA SOLUTION
Common
- headache
- burning sensation

Uncommon
- nausea
- eye irritation
- nausea or vomiting

Rare

- generalized rash
- hypersensitivity
- eye irritation, visual disturbance

- ear infection

- kidney stones (nephrolithiasis)
Stop using CHYMOTRA SOLUTION and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
- continuous redness or irritation of the scalp
- continuous hair shedding even after 2-3 weeks
- sudden unexplained weight gain (common)
- sign of a severe allergic reaction such as swelling of the face, lips or throat with swallowing or breathing difficulties
- swollen hands or feet
- faintness or dizziness
- chest pain, rapid or irregular heartbeat
- low blood pressure
How To Manage Side Effects
Headache:
Drink ample amount of water and avoid skipping meals. Get adequate rest. Try to be relaxed and stress-free. Consult your doctor regarding your symptoms and take medicine accordingly.
Warning & Precautions
Pregnancy
CHYMOTRA SOLUTION is not recommended for use in pregnant women and in women who are trying to get pregnant. Consult your doctor before using CHYMOTRA SOLUTION.
Breastfeeding
CHYMOTRA SOLUTION is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor for advice.
Driving and Using Machines
Do not drive or operate any machines if you feel dizzy or experience low blood pressure after using CHYMOTRA SOLUTION.
Allergy
Do not use CHYMOTRA SOLUTION if you are allergic to minoxidil or any other ingredients of this medicine.
Heart Disease
CHYMOTRA SOLUTION is not recommended for use in patients suffering from high blood pressure and must be used with caution in patients suffering from abnormal heart rhythms or rates, chest pains or circulation disorders. Consult your doctor before using CHYMOTRA SOLUTION.
Others
CHYMOTRA SOLUTION is not recommended for use if:
- the pattern of your hair loss differs from a receding hairline and crown balding
- you have no history of hair loss in the family
- you have total hair loss or complete baldness
- you have a shaved scalp
- you have sudden hair loss
- you have a patchy scalp
- you do not know the reason for your hair loss
- your reason for hair loss is due to childbirth in women
- your scalp feels painful and has some sort of inflammation, infection or irritation
- you have any condition that affects your scalp such as sunburn and psoriasis
Use in pediatrics:
CHYMOTRA SOLUTION is not recommended for use in children and adolescents below 18 years of age. Consult your child’s doctor for advice.
Use in geriatrics:
CHYMOTRA SOLUTION is not recommended for use in elderly patients (aged 65 years and above). Consult your doctor before using CHYMOTRA SOLUTION.
Interactions
A. Drug-Drug interactions:
Before using CHYMOTRA SOLUTION, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicines:
- medicines that are applied on the scalp
- corticosteroids such as prednisone, hydrocortisone (used to manage inflammatory conditions)
- tretinoin (used to manage acne or other skin diseases)
- petrolatum (uses as a moisturizer to manage dry or itchy skin)
- dithranol (used to manage chronic plaque psoriasis)
- medicines used to manage high blood pressure such as vasodilators (Ex. Hydralazine) or guanethidine
Overdosage:
If you or anyone else accidentally use too much of [GBNKEYWORD on a larger area of skin or on an area other than the scalp or on damaged skin (due to trauma, inflammation or a diseased condition), it may cause a systemic effect then contact your doctor immediately. Symptoms of CHYMOTRA SOLUTION overdose include cardiovascular reactions such as low blood pressure, rapid heart rate and lethargy.

Can CHYMOTRA SOLUTION cause loss of hair after use?
In the first couple of months, CHYMOTRA SOLUTION may cause increased hair shedding after use in some individuals. There is a temporary increase in the shedding of hair that generally occurs between 2 and 6 weeks after the start of management and then decreases. If increased shedding continues after 6 weeks of CHYMOTRA SOLUTION use, consult your doctor.
How long should I use CHYMOTRA SOLUTION?
Since hair grows slowly, CHYMOTRA SOLUTION takes time to work. Results may be seen in 2-4 months with daily use. If there’s no hair regrowth after 4 months, then consult your doctor. The amount of hair regrowth is different for each person and may not work for all. Continued use of CHYMOTRA SOLUTION is necessary to increase and maintain hair re-growth or hair loss will begin again.

Consult your immediately if any such symptom arises. Keep CHYMOTRA SOLUTION out of the reach of children to avoid such accidents.
